During Senator Jeff Sessions’, R-Ala. (C,78%) Attorney General confirmation hearing today in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Senator Ted Cruz, R-Tex. (A, 97%) pointed out numerous Democratic hypocrisies that have been manifested in the past few years and during the hearing.
Democrats on the committee, especially Senator Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif. (F, 0%) had been grilling Sessions on whether he would uphold abortion laws in the United States if he becomes Attorney General. Senator Patrick Leahy, D, Vt. (F, 6%) interrogated Sessions on LGBT rights, questioning whether Sessions would uphold civil rights laws as Attorney General.
But did the Democrats care when Obama routinely flouted the law?
Ted Cruz wasn’t having it:

“When the Obama Justice Department sent millions of dollars of taxpayer money to sanctuary cities defying federal immigration law, the Democrats on this committee were silent. When the Obama administration refused to enforce federal immigration law…the Democrats on this committee were silent. When the Obama administration released tens of thousands of illegal aliens including rapists and murderers into the general population, Democrats on this committee were silent.”
Ted Cruz was kicking ass. And he wasn’t done. He pointed out Democratic hypocritical silence on Obama flouting the law and paying a ransom to Iran and for releasing Guantanamo terrorists without congressional approval.
Senator Cruz’s comments were met with acclaim from conservatives on Twitter:

I hope so. Wikileaks has offered $20,000 for proof of the Obama administration destroying evidence. For them, that’s a lot of money. We can only hope it’s enough to motivate a whistle blower.
XThis ‘scandal free,’ mantra Obama is running around and spewing needs to be stopped in its tracks. When the MSM refuses to report on overt criminality it can seem scandal-free, but in fact it was a hive of cockroaches—and needs to go down in history as such.

Kudos, I agree with you; WTG Senator Cruz! The spineless, gutless GOP Elites in Congress should have shoved the Liberal RATs duplicity and hypocrisy back at them for years. There has been a severe shortage of testosterone in the GOP. Let’s all pray that they’ve finally found their spines. As for Ryan and McConnell, the jury is out, IMO.

But just the same, he may not have been a match for Trump but he is more than a match for this bunch of hypocrites and liars. I’m not a Cruz fan but that doesn’t mean he can’t serve a useful purpose.

It's the way Trump plays the game, it is why taking the chance with Trump was our only real option. Cruz or any other Republican contender would play the same game the left has defeated us on cycle after cycle. Even if Cruz (or put your favorite alternative here) won, we would never be talking about the kind of cabinet picks we are now. Neither would the house or Senate be as confident as they are now. The compromising and capitulation would already have started.

Look, I supported Trump but Cruz is not the enemy and his voting record is 98% conservative rated. You need to keep in mind the rat party is the enemy and many have voting records in the 10% category.

HarleyLady I would LOVE to see Cruz on the SC however he has not made ANY good relationships in the Senate even on OUR side, Sessions and Lee are the ONLY two I know of that have been behind Cruz!!! I honestly don’t know if he could be confirmed for SC!!! If Trump demanded it I would be curious to see if our OWN side would get behind the nomination!!! McShame, and Grahamnesty would probably vote NO!!!
