During Senator Jeff Sessions’, R-Ala. (C,78%) Attorney General confirmation hearing today in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Senator Ted Cruz, R-Tex. (A, 97%) pointed out numerous Democratic hypocrisies that have been manifested in the past few years and during the hearing.
Democrats on the committee, especially Senator Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif. (F, 0%) had been grilling Sessions on whether he would uphold abortion laws in the United States if he becomes Attorney General. Senator Patrick Leahy, D, Vt. (F, 6%) interrogated Sessions on LGBT rights, questioning whether Sessions would uphold civil rights laws as Attorney General.
But did the Democrats care when Obama routinely flouted the law?
Ted Cruz wasn’t having it:

“When the Obama Justice Department sent millions of dollars of taxpayer money to sanctuary cities defying federal immigration law, the Democrats on this committee were silent. When the Obama administration refused to enforce federal immigration law…the Democrats on this committee were silent. When the Obama administration released tens of thousands of illegal aliens including rapists and murderers into the general population, Democrats on this committee were silent.”
Ted Cruz was kicking ass. And he wasn’t done. He pointed out Democratic hypocritical silence on Obama flouting the law and paying a ransom to Iran and for releasing Guantanamo terrorists without congressional approval.
Senator Cruz’s comments were met with acclaim from conservatives on Twitter:

Is there any way I can retract the compliments I paid Cruz? The nastiness of too many of Cruz’ supporters was one of the biggest problems from the beginning.

Cruz needs to be on the Supreme Court, no doubt about it. He has dismembered every sniveling liberal that ever confronted him.

Cruz was the only candidate in the 2016 GOP field that was fully qualified to lead the country, and could do it without risking his decisions on advisers.
That election is now history, and I am thankful that he is still willing to do it all for whomever is in office.
That’s the nature of an honorable man.
As disappointing as Cruz's behavior became during the primary and the convention, it's still my opinion that President Trump will have no better ally in the Senate than Ted Cruz. With obstructionists such as McCain, Graham, and McConnell still wasting oxygen, Trump's agenda will need him.
Tom Fitton has issued FOIAs on virtually every crime zero has committed, and quite a few haven’t been honored. Holder and Lynch aren’t walking away from this scott-free. I think we’re all gonna be watching a LOT of C-SPAN this year :)

The man has no morals yet pretends to be a holy preacher. It’s a type I really hate. He must be so proud of himself today, wonder which underling he boffed in which closet.
When Cruz used his convention speech and tried to sabotage our Rupublican Nominee...I can’t forget it. He could have endorsed Trump but instead he gave us “ vote your conscience” instead. Hard to forget.
Last week and a half he and Reince (cannot stand that guy) barnstormed western michigan (area which obama won 2x) and beat the drums to get out catholic and evangelical vote.
It was effective enough that it spurred the local dems to notice a tide shift in local.polling and they sent a desperate requeat to Hillary’s campaign for more resources and cash....which did not come.
I am not claiming Ted Cruz deserves credit for Trump’s win.
I am saying he was late to the party but when he was asked by the campaign to go help with a critical task he showed up....and was given credit by the campaign for turning out voters who were not expected to turn out for Trump.

I started listening without knowing it was Cruz. Man O Man. he killed it. Tomorrow with Booker will be EPIC. If I were Booker, I come down with the flu....
Cruz is fighting for our side today and is doing yeoman service as he has done before and will do again.
There is still a lot of hurt on both sides from last spring when the forum had to silence the Cruzbots who were still attacking Trump. But the wounds are healing and the former Cruz supporters are back on the forum and providing aid and help to the cause.
Jim Robinson made an awesome decision when he declared that Trump was the nominee and this forum was not gonna attack him anymore. Though a strong Cruz proponent, I fully supported that decision and did abide by its spirit. His wise decision not only preserved the purpose of the forum but also gave Cruz supporters a way back if they want it.
Cruzbots know two things now that they did not know a year ago: 1) Trump has shown himself a true conservative! and 2) Cruz will never be president!
