Gingrich got it right. In the context of the convention vote your conscience was an endorsement. The Trump team had the speech 24hours in advance, with that line, and approved it. The take down of Cruz was orchestrated by team Trump at the convention.

It's the way Trump plays the game, it is why taking the chance with Trump was our only real option. Cruz or any other Republican contender would play the same game the left has defeated us on cycle after cycle. Even if Cruz (or put your favorite alternative here) won, we would never be talking about the kind of cabinet picks we are now. Neither would the house or Senate be as confident as they are now. The compromising and capitulation would already have started.

Hey, steel sharpens steel. Trump and Cruz sharpened each other, and now we get years of schadenboner and vengeance against the Left. Just today, the RATS started off all froggy and after Cruz whaled on them behaved like chastened junior-high punks fearing terrified of their parents getting a phone call.

It’s all good!

Respectfully, Cruz’s ‘vote your conscience ‘ was certainly not received by the convention crowd as an endorsement of Trump, judging from all the booing. Further, Cruz has a brain, I think, and was not forced to say it. Still hard to forget.
