"Fake news." The term that spun around and bit the MSM on their butts.

No. Not until the fake news meme that Russia hacked the election is retired.

They never learn. “Fake, but accurate” came from The New York Times in their reporting of the Texas Air National Guard document hoax (which was not a hoax to them).

Does the Washington Post also want to retire the phrases, ‘hacked election’, and ‘illegitimate president’, too?
Yeah....I thought not.

Anyone with any direct experience with the press knows that they have been faking news since the very first newspaper centuries ago. With the alt-media they can’t get away with it any more.
Hearst’s Spanish-American War. Cronkites “Tet Offensive is a US loss.” These are prime examples. They inflate numbers religiously and withhold vital information as a normal course of action. That they ever tried to use Fake News as an assault on the alt-media in the first place shows how stupid they are.

Proof positive that the worm has turned.
I guarantee that for ever person who associates the term "fake news" with Breitbart or the Alt Right, a dozen immediately think of ABCNNBCBS, the NY Times, and the Washington Post.

Fake news is an awesome meme. I promoted the heck out of it. We’ll use it to drive a stake through the heart of the lying, dishonest press in this country.

The meme we were trying so hard to establish backfired upon us. We must find a replacement stat.

LOL - for once we can thanks the Mainstream Media. We called it ‘biased reporting’ and other dull terms. But they came up with Fake News, and that’s MUCH BETTER, and it’s not going away!
Reminds me of Common Core. From what I can tell, all the crap we hate about Common Core was already in the classrooms, but we didn’t have a universal term for it. Thanks to the leftists, WE DO NOW!!
