Really bad is an understatement! That fog was worse than pea soup. Can’t have made the roads fun to drive on either.
Be careful going home.

It was a sort of lazy day. We still have company and she had to go have surgery on her eye. We didn’t know how long it would take so we hung out waiting for a call till hubby finally had to go pick up his mom to get the results of her biopsy.
The bad news is that it is cancer. The good news is that it’s not aggressive and they are doing surgery as soon as they can...at least 6 days because she’s on blood thinners. Prayers for her to have a successful surgery and a complete recovery. Please.
So I ate by myself and then took a nap when our company finally got back to the house. She can’t see at all right now because the surgery was on her good eye. Prayers that the surgery works or she could be totally blind.
Whew! That was chatty. How were y’all’s days? Kathy, hope you got all that payroll stuff done! Radu, did you locate the new stray?

Being very, very behind on Cole Porter research, Ms. B was kind enough to bring the 50th anniversary of the Doors’ first album to my attention with an article on the subject. I’ll be running that album this weekend on both nights.

YIKES! Scary news about your MIL but glad it isn’t aggressive. I hope they’re able to get all of it with surgery. Prayers for her indeed!
Also for your friend that she’ll be able to see once her eye recovers from her surgery.
It was a windy, cold day for grocery shopping but it got done. I’ll head to Wal Mart shortly to get the few things I get there each week. I normally do it on Thurs. but with snow in the forecast tomorrow night, the stores will be mobbed by panicked people and I don’t want to deal with that.
No sign of that cat today. It must have moved on. Hope it finds a home!

Thanks. I hope she won’t have extensive surgery but we’ll know more in 6 days or so.
I hope it doesn’t get too bad there. Good idea to get the shopping done early so you can hunker down in case it gets really ugly! I hope the kitteh found a warm place to stay since you couldn’t find him. Poor kitty!
It’s colder here but I don’t think we have snow in the forecast.Nope just cooler. Hi of 30 on Friday. That’s it and then it warms back up. Has been a very strange winter for sure!

Yes, it’ll be reeeeeeally nice if she doesn’t have to have extensive surgery. That’s hard enough on a younger person.
They don’t know how much snow we’ll get here. They’ve been all over the map with predictions the past two days but it’ll be a couple of inches at the most, more than likely. But people still get panicked and mob the stores for bread and milk and I just don’t want to get stuck in that mess. I just need to get the few things I normally get and nothing extra.
We’ll be at the freezing mark or below through the weekend and we don’t look forward to that. And of course, I’ll be fretting about that cat since we don’t know where it went.
Off to the store now that the news and weather are over. Be back shortly.

Way to go with your redecorating...lots of skills have you.
Moving furniture can be lots of fun...trying for that new look.
LOL! Have you had enough time together to figure out what she is balking at?

In our last office I complained and complained that the heating ducts needed to be cleaned...cold after cold or respiratory issue. No one ever listened, but had the same problems.

Easy-peasy shopping trip. Hardly anyone there. All done now and don’t have to worry about any more shopping until next week. Whew!

The San Francisco area is just like that, but who wants to live in CA with their weird politics and super high prices!
When I visited my son there in San Jose, it was perfect weather nearly all the time!

I think I’ll pass on San Fransicko, no matter how nice their temps are. LOL! I’ll just stay rah-cheer and deal with heat and cold. No weird politics and prices are reasonable, unless you live in the large cities with their liberal city governments. :-)
But perfect weather sure would be nice.

Heck yeah! I’d much rather shop late at night for that reason.
There’s no telling what the weather will do tomorrow and Fri. morning. It could be worse than they predict or not as bad. Mother Nature has her ways of making weathermen/women look like idiots.

She does, but the weather people are willing participants in their comeuppance! LOL! They can be so certain that they are right!
And now you can sit back and stay warm when the temp changes, no matter how much!
