Today a Politico article reveals the John McCain/Lindsey Graham push to create an international crisis with Russia has found push-back from an unlikely source, Senate Leader Mitch McConnell.
(Politico) John McCain and Lindsey Graham are backing off of their push for a select committee on cybersecurity after Russian interference in the election, bowing to the political reality that the Senate Republican Conference largely does not back their idea.
[ ] Were just going to move with the individual committees and see how that works. If it doesnt work, well regroup, [Lindsey] Graham said in an interview.
The House Intelligence Committee Chairman Nunes, has already clearly stated the insufferable intelligence claims of John Brennan (CIA) and James Clapper (ODNI) just simply dont make sense.
Additionally, Nunes highlighted how neither intelligence group was willing to make their case of Russian Hacking on-the-record to the House Permanent Committee on Intelligence.

What? FBI and CIA have agendas? Are not objective? Make stuff up? Y-you mean like the—GASP! ORGAN CHORD!—BATF?!
Yeah. He could throw his back out going down on a body from that close.
10-4. Do not need a tail wagging the dog right now. Remove both of these dipshiites from any committee that they sit on.
Make them nonexistent.
And who said Trump wasn't a politician or insider to know that this would work?
John’s telling him where it itches, and wants it scratched.
What is wrong with these two??
I had a feeling things like this would happen as soon as I saw this photo, taken shortly after the election:
Look at McConnell's expression, especially his eyes (the gateway to the soul). Mitch looks a bit terrified. Also notice: Trump is looking directly at the camera (presumably there were multiple cameras going off at that angle). What's Mitch looking at? The wall.
OK, one could posit that the Senate Majority Leader is being deferential to the President-Elect; however, body language is also telling. Trump: shoulders forward, stride confident, head forward. Mitch: Shoulders a bit slumped, stride attenuated, head held back. It's clear from that photo that Trump is leading, Mitch is following.
The turtle slapping down the traitors?
Get a laugh, or raised eyebrow, anyway. That Hugh Hewitt (I know, slam me for listening, okay! I can take it!) ... Couldn’t have been anymore vile about Assange. Calling him a criminal, a rapist, totally unbelievable, and all other manner of ill repute against the man. Having a conniption fit over Trump even suggesting Assange might have any sort of credibility over the word of our security agencies.
(As an aside, Hewitt’s feigning love for Meeeeegyn Kelly this AM was enough to make me want to throw up.)
McCain and Graham with Clinton and Obama have been looking for a casus belli because the actual threat from Russia cannot be publicized. This is similar to finding “WMD” in Iraq. Saddam had been closing oil contracts in euros and not the US Dollar!
Russia has been finalizing oil contracts in euros. They have been preparing for the day when the USD will no longer be the world’s reserve currency.
Oh; THAT's really stable!
Good read on the body language!!
Morons. Private cyber security firms are already confirming their claims to be bunk, the malware used is publicly available from a Ukrainian group, but it could be anyone since anyone can grab it and use it.
DEMOTE GRAHAM. TAKE AWAY HIS COMMITTEE POSITIONS. This is something to demand of Mitch.
What’s the proper metaphor for these two asshats?
Laurel & Hardy?
Leopold & Loeb?
Mutt & Jeff?
Sturm & Drang?
They are really like a pair of stupid wind-up dolls, it’s like they should be on a Star Trek episode, instead of Landru or some other weird alien life form, TWO of these things show up and create chaos when in reality they should be in some form of adult day care.
RE: Body Language:
Melania: Poised, Majestic, Commanding, Proud, Strong, Unafraid... I could go on...
How nice, the change : )
The problem is McCain and Graham are complete power-hungry idiots.
