If they are identical, then women can buy the blue ones.
This is a seemingly small thing, but it represents a big problem. NONE of this is the business of the government. No wonder the UK is shrinking in influence.
Sad.
Some women have no problem using blue razors.
Unintended message of the article: “Some women are so stupid that they fail to find easy bargains. Blue razors are half the price of the pink razors? Well, ignore that and buy the pink ones anyway.”
The thing I can’t understand is that men’s razors have become so metro-sexualized with all this extreme close-cutting, lubrication, pivoting an all that.
I’ve been using Bic razors about as long as I can remember. Used to buy them for about a dollar a bag. Work fine once a day and I just don’t care to have my cheeks and chin as silky smooth as all these new commercials portray.
Most of the time I just use an electric razor on trim function to cut down the beard to a non-itch state.
Finally...gender equality has been accomplished! /s
Any woman dumb enough to pay more for a razor because it’s pink rather than blue deserves the mustache she’s trying to get rid of.
“Ive been using Bic razors about as long as I can remember. “
My bathroom drains run slow due to Earthquake settling of the house which messed up the slope on the pipes. I used to use Bic razors too until I had to unclog the pipes once a month. I bought an electric shaver. It was cheaper than redoing the plumbing
They are cutting the PRICE, not necessarily the COST.
The language may well be lost - to leftism.
So women are willing to pay more for a product simply because it is pink?
Math is hard.
You’re saying the shaving cream was the cause of the clogging?
Also at Target in the U.S., a box of 50 Crayola colored pencils costs more for the adult version than for the child version, even though the two products are otherwise identical.
lways in the small pipes behind the sink not in the main line. It started after a big magnitude 7+ quake here a couple of years ago. The whole house is now slightly out of level. Doors have to be wedged to stay open. I had a guy come look at it to make sure there was no structural damage. His comment was “That’s just Guam!” Evidently it is a common issue here.
Actually, the government was not involved. The change was proposed by a retailer.
Not mentioned was the wholesale price of the razors. If the wholesale price is different then the retailer is foolishly taking a loss. If the wholesale price is the same then the parity has some merit
You make money buying, not selling
If they were identical then they’d work the same. Women’s razors don’t last as long and aren’t as good at removing hair as men’s. I only buy men’s razors, I’ve known that for over 40 years. And I don’t care what color it is, only that it works.
Does it matter what color you tooth brush is if it works? Or you dish soap?
The article states that the two products in question here are identical except for cost and color.
Years ago, I bought a Bic to compare to my “metro-sexualized with all this extreme close-cutting, lubrication, pivoting” Gillette. It wasn’t even close. There’s a reason I spend all that extra money on the Gillette products and it’s not because I have piles of loose cash.
From the article excerpt:
Tesco said it had come under pressure from British lawmaker Paula Sherriff
If the retailer has come under pressure from a 'lawmaker' (who is evidently an 'MP') then it can be fairly said that the government was involved.
no, it was a misguided feminist.
It was not a matter of law
