The future First Lady of the United States set the tone for a fashion-forward 2017 when she stepped out on New Years Eve in a seriously chic Dolce & Gabbana dress. Melania Trump wore the bow-front scoop-neck cocktail dress in one of her favorite colors trusty black.
... It has bows on each strap, which are embellished with jewels and a fitted silhouette that hits a few inches below the knee.... Trump accompanied by president-elect Donald Trump donned the dress to a party at Mar-a-Lago, a Palm Beach... She accessorized simply with a sparkly cuff bracelet and her hair flowing, unadorned..-snip-
... Stafano Gabbana proudly posted an image of the Melania in her NYE dress with the caption Melania Trump #DGwoman thank you #madeinitaly. The post garnered more than 12,000 likes and congratulatory comments including Congratulations , Stefano! You do wonderful clothes that we are proud to buy and put on!!!! No matter the religion, politic opinion or color of the skin. We love you, and Wonderful dress on a wonderful lady grande Stefano!, ...
... there are designers apart from Dolce & Gabbana who are game to dress Trump. Of course I would, was Calvin Kleins response when asked if hed consider designing for the future First Lady, according to Time.
Donald Trump was elected and he will be our president. Melania deserves the respect of any first lady before her. Our role as part of the fashion industry is to promote beauty, inclusiveness, diversity. We should each be the best we can be and influence by our example, Diane von Furstenberg declared. And Tommy Hilfiger chimed in, I think Melania is a very beautiful woman and I think any designer should be proud to dress her....

Everything about that dress is fine. I just don’t like the bows and think it would be much better without them. Of course, I’m a guy and women dress to impress other women.
That was the single funniest moment in television history.
“This lady don’t need any glitter.”
Melania IS the glitter.
That lady could wear a burlap sack and make it look good.
She looked gorgeous and demure. Looking forward to a FLOTUS with class and grace...And oh yes, beauty.
Wait what? A non attack piece on a Trump family member?
Edited for 300 word content, cutting the snarks. This is about as nice as they will manage.

Never heard of Dolce Gabbana until I saw that Black Eyed Peas video “My Humps”.
No, Melanias dress was a reasonable < $3,000 in comparison to the dresses that the Obama teenagers have worn.
Or Mooches first day in Cuba:
When the 0 family landed in Cuba, the Mooche descended Air Force One wearing a sleeveless, rose-print dress sold for $2,190 at Bergdorf Goodman.
Later, Obama dressed in a floral, knee-length dress ... A similar frock from Naeem Khan, designers pre-fall 2016 collection costs$4,490.
The Trump family, having earned their money in the private sector, seem to realize that class and quality do not necessarily equate to outrageously extravagant pricetags! This is something lost on the Nouveau riche Obama family who made their money in DC.
Mini dress? Reporters can’t get even the simple things right.
The big difference is that Melania would look great in anything, Michelle Antoinette has to spend heavily just to distract from her basic form.
Compared to the shelf ass wookie bitch currently 1st lady, Mrs. Trump will sure be a welcome change.
The comments on the original article are vile.
yielded no results, despite all the advice from well established trannies.
It's all fake, all the time.
She can make a peasant dress look like a ball gown...
A little off topic, but I’ve been shopping online for dresses for a cruise. Have noticed that the hemlines are going up, up, up. IIRC from many years ago, there’s supposed to be some correlation between the length of ladies’ dresses and the anticipated economy. Good economy = short dresses; dismal economy = long dresses.
That dress was so bad, even the model can’t pull it off!
Dumb choice IMHO for any First Lady, let alone a big bottomed one!
Melanie=Class and Sophistication.
The “after” still looks like a man.
Thank you for pointing out the duplicitous headline. I saw the dress and knew immediately what the author was doing here. Disgusting. The media hasn’t learned a single thing from the election.
