A little off topic, but I’ve been shopping online for dresses for a cruise. Have noticed that the hemlines are going up, up, up. IIRC from many years ago, there’s supposed to be some correlation between the length of ladies’ dresses and the anticipated economy. Good economy = short dresses; dismal economy = long dresses.
Something to be said for that economic theory. But we all know that in a poor or prosperous economy, all men prefer the higher hemline.
