Scathing criticism of President Obama’s decision to expel 35 Russian diplomats is pouring in, with the perhaps curious exception of the leaders of the Republican establishment.
A senior congressional staff member told WND, “What’s amazing to me is how the Obama administration is pursuing a scorched earth policy and attempting to destroy our international relationships across the spectrum from Russia to Israel on their way out the door.”
The aide noted the U.K. and Australia “are openly at odds with them.”
“It’s a mess – and what’s worse, it’s an unnecessary one,” the top staffer concluded.
Rep. Dave Brat, R-Va., said Obama “seems intent on setting the world on fire the month before he leaves office.”
“First he betrays our ally Israel, and is now taking retaliatory action against Russia all within a week,” the congressman continued.
“And he’s doing this without any consultation with Congress, that has yet to see a promised report providing proof that Russia interfered in our election. So, why now?”
“Memo to the president: You lost,” editorialized the New York Post.
“In his waning days in the White House,” the paper continued, “President Obama is desperately trying to make his policies as permanent as possible by tying the hands of his successor,” by presenting President-elect Donald Trump “with a foreign-policy crisis immediately upon taking office.”
Even the left-leaning New York Times conceded Obama’s move “appeared intended to box in President-elect Trump, who will now have to decide whether to lift the sanctions on Russian intelligence agencies when he takes office next month.”

Putin is a thug. I give him no worship. But he is not stupid. Also, he would not release damaging information (legally and morally) to simply amuse himself. He would want to use it to strengthen his strategic position.
But after the hissy fit that Bathhouse Barry just threw, and knowing he is a lame duck, Putin might just throw Obama a curve ball......just because.

That may very well be, but as long as he has his filthy hands on all the levers of power, the potential for mischief is unlimited. It would be unwise to underestimate his ability to launch Scorched Earth even with only three weeks to go.
The Petulant One reminds me of Saddam burning the Kuwait oil fields when his forces were driven out.
It would be amazing if Obama ordered some sort of attack as a “show of force” (God knows why — but it seems stupid, so I assume he’s considering do this somewhere) and the if the US military said, “Naaaaaaaa, we’ll wait a few weeks. Then ... we’ll see.”

As the office taking Day was moved up from March to January we need to move it again to IMMEDIATELY after Election Day. Election Day can be moved back to December 30 or so and office taken as soon as all votes are counted and Happy New Year.
Well, Obama was counting on the election of Hillary to finish the destruction that he started. Now that it’s not going to happen, he is trying to do as much damage as possible on his way out.
He started his presidency by doing whatever he could to undermine our long-term alliances and friendships across the globe. He tried to be friendly towards Muslim nations that never were friendly to us, and toppled those that were no problem.
He has left a huge mess for Trump to clean up.
He should be used as an object lesson of why the country should never again be entrusted to leftists.

Nobody does. Including Trump. Yet because of the coverage and narrative you feel you have to make sure nobody thinks you believe otherwise.
Putin is what he is. We have to deal with him. But he also is on the right side (even if it is self-serving) of issues like fighting ISIS, and the protection of Christians. We are on the wrong side, or only half-heartedly doing what is good and right.
That may not make us evil, but it doesn’t make us “good”. It may not make Putin “good” but it also isn’t what one would expect from an evil thug.
Obama has made America a nation that seems not to know the difference between good and evil.
