... There have been 22 homicides in the Prince William so far in 2016, compared to 10 last year. In many communities, the prospect of 22 murders in a year might not seem like a cause for concern. This year the District has so far tallied 134 slayings and neighboring Fairfax County so far had 18 homicides. But the numbers in Prince William County are the highest in the county since authorities began tracking homicides in 1975. The next most deadly year was 2006, when 16 people were slain. ... Experts attribute the increase to a range of factors, including the prevalence of handguns and lethality of those weapons. They also cite gang activity and domestic violence.

Woodbridge is heavily Hispanic and has a lot of folks who look like they take meth. The black population used to be military and middle class government but it got a lot of trash in the 90s. The nickname is Hoodrige now. I had relatives there but we stopped going years ago. They had to meet us elsewhere.
PWC has been ground zero of the illegal immigration fight for quite some time. The proliferation of Salvadoreans, and that which always comes with them (MS-13), is likely the cause, as it is everywhere else they show up.
It’s like we imported 30 million cannibals and are confused as to why half-eaten corpses keep showing up all over the place.
Memphis is 1 large city inside Shelby CO, TN, they have had over 225 murders with 1 day before the end of the year, the county has had like 4. Memphis is predominately black, and the majority of the killings were black on black.
Compared to Chi town’s over 600 that is peanuts. Haven’t seen NYC’s count yet.
It is also heavily Hispanic with lots of El Salvadorans, meaning lots of MS-13. Don’t know many law enforcement that live in the county, especially if they have kids. Once the Hispanics got a foothold things started going downhill. If you look at property values you can see that PWC has lower values than other counties in Northern VA. Manassas and Woodbridge (known as the Hoodbridge) are especially sketchy.
That reciprocity curtailment was shot down before it could take effect.

As of July 1, 2016, pursuant to Virginia Code Section 18.2-308.014, the holder of a valid concealed handgun or concealed weapon permit or license issued by another state1 may carry a concealed handgun in Virginia provided all of the below conditions are met:
The holder of such permit or license is at least 21 years of age.
The permit or license holder carries a valid photo-identification issued by a government agency of any state or by the U.S. Department of Defense or U.S. Department of State.
The holder displays the permit or license and the government issued photo-identification upon demand by a law-enforcement officer.
The permit or license holder has not previously had a Virginia concealed handgun permit revoked.
Although the law requires Virginia to grant recognition to all states that issue permits, those states may not authorize Virginia permit holders to possess a firearm in their state. “
Nah, that was cancelled very quickly, once the VCDL(Virginia Citizens Defense League) launched into the fight.

One day, my Son-in-Law and I made the mistake of driving a U-Haul truck down Richmond Highway (US-1) through Woodbridge instead of taking I-95. At every single traffic light, we were accosted by dozens of illegals thinking we were looking for day work. Luckily we'd locked the rear door, because they kept trying to slide it open so they could hop in.
PW County is ground zero for the illegals in Northern Virginia.

My good Brother-in-law lives in Bartlett and keeps us informed of the death rate in Memphis.
When I get an E-mail that says...”Well, another one bites the dust!” I know what he is talking about.
