Arkansassuspended tight end Jeremy Sprinkle for Thursday's Belk Bowl for what head coach Bret Bielema deemed, "conduct detrimental to the team," and it appears we now have the reason why. Sources confirmed to Jason Kersey of SEC Country that Sprinkle's suspension stems from an accusation of shoplifting during a Tuesday trip to the local Belk department store in Charlotte, N.C.

wow, incredible.
He’s in town for the Belk Bowl, and he shoplifts from the sponsor of the game??? What a crazy story...........
Always called this the B I L K Bowl prior to this.
Stupid is as stupid does.
Is it just me, or did I only click this link because I was curious as to what the heck the thread title could possibly mean?
He’s entitled.
He bilked Belk. At least he has good taste.
But all the players got $450 gift cards but had to spend them in 90 minutes and he got merchandise worth more. I would like to hear his side of the story.
No, you are not alone. I clicked on it for the same reason.
Saw “Arkansas sprinkle” and figured it was about Bill Clinton and the oval office sink.
Happens all the time. A lot of the reason is that these players are paid nothing for events that make the CFB machine millions. They’re surrounded by money that’s made because of them, and they get none of it.
Thievery in is his genes
Are you saying college athletes shoplift because of the oppressive system of slavery and there’s no other way for these poor exploited young men to get reparations?
Some people just steal for the sake of stealing.
Is this the same guy that cut blocked A&M’s Myles Garrett and severely injured his ankle?
Why do they have to be done in 90 minutes?
> Are you saying college athletes shoplift because of the oppressive system of slavery and theres no other way for these poor exploited young men to get reparations?
This is the point where it helps for you to be aware of just how pervasive the controls are to make sure that the athletes are not compensated in any way at all, in order to preserve the laughable fiction that they are amateurs.
What they actually are is unpaid labor that gets strung along for that one-in-10,000 chance of making it to the NFL (where most will fail within a year or two).
The players are amateurs but the ones playing them are pure professionals.
I wouldn’t call it slavery, but I’d definitely call it a scam on the players.
This is a dumb idea. It is improbably, more stupid than Guy's Grocery Games.
You import your CEO from Hot Topic to displace the Belk family and this is what you get.
