Happy New Year! Not listening but glad to drop in here.
A Happy & Healthy New Year to you!
I refer you to the end of the Pardon Clause, Article II, Section 2 of the Constitution:
The President shall ... have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment. [emphasis added]The answer is simple, Congress. Impeach her for her crimes of mishandling of classified material, selling influence by means of the Clinton Crime Family Foundation, and obstruction of the FOIA act by using a private server.
If I am correctly reading that ONE EXCEPTION to the Pardon power of the President, the simple filing of a Bill of Impeachment in the House should remove any ability Øbama has of pardoning sHrillary of her major crimes. Certainly for long enough to get us past Inauguration Day, even if the Bill goes nowhere. In fact, it would be ok if the impeachment bill dies in committee since a Senate conviction would probably never happen.
Should President Trump decide that following Ford's lead in pardoning Nixon for the good of the Nation, he should extract a consent decree as part and parcel of issuing that Pardon.
Is TruePundit “news?”
“The answer is simple, Congress. Impeach her...”
The problem is also simple: there aren’t enough spines or cajones in the US Congress to do it. Too many lib-dem commies and RINOs who want extra butter and jam on their daily toast.
Same to you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It just takes one Rep to file the Bill. That should be all that is necessary to trip the exception, IMHO
As much as is ABCCBSNBCMSNBCCNNNPRPBS
Ahhh, you’re right. I didn’t read far enough into your post to get that part of it.
I laughed really hard at Rush the other day, in fact I had to turn him off. He was claiming to be saying since Trump entered the race he was saying he’d be our nominee and he supported him.
Too funny
Talk about revisionist history! Rush was perfectly clear on several occasions — hundreds, probably — that he never supported any candidate in the primaries. Ever. And he hasn’t as far as I can remember. He knows we’re not stupid so why would he bother to say such a thing?
