A new video from the Taliban features Canadian Joshua Boyle and his American wife Caitlan Coleman, who were kidnapped while hiking through Afghanistan in 2012.My children have seen their mother defiled, she added ominously, as the children sat in Boyles lap. Also ominous: she referred to the boys as her surviving children.
They want money, power, friends. You must give them these things before progress can be made, she said of her captors in the Haqqani Network, a notorious hostage-taking criminal gang allied with the Taliban. Reuters explains that the friends she referred to are three senior Haqqani members held by the Afghan government.

Stupid libs pick Afghanistan for a vacation spot and are surprised they’re taken hostage by Islamic terrorists.
You can’t fix what’s wrong with people with no sense of self-preservation. Leave ‘em there to rot.
Do I shed tears for them? Not really.
People who travel to a Muslim country get exactly what they deserve.
“He married the sister of a Gitmo terrorist, according to Wikipedia. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joshua_Boyle"
Read the Wikipedia page- just wow-
The guy is a certified NUT- and that stupid girl and
their kids are now paying the price- hey I know-!!
Let’s trade $millions in cash- and release more Taliban
prisoners from gitmo!- worked for bergdahl
sarc
Wouldn’t it be child endangerment to go “hiking” in the territory of wild animals on four and two legs?
That must be the money behind the young families”adventures. Let’s face it the expense of being presumably unemployed world travelers is staggering. Somebody paid the bills. Someone is enabling stupidity or at least a rank foolish naive worldview.
Typical LIB lunatics seeking the skittle crapping unicorn. Coexist!
Unicorns exist because “they” say unicorns exist. Skittles as well.
Obviously the parents paid their trace bill, as many parents will. It’s probable the parents didn’t really ask where their son was going.
Liberal decision making skills on display in this case.
Why were they hiking in a muslim hellhole? Who would willingly place themselves at risk?
Really stupid hiking choice, and to take their kids???? Just incredible stupidity for this couple.
Look how many people buy the Islam means peace line. You can’t convince them that it means anything else.
Look, this is not “blame the victim” but cone on: jesus said to be wise as serpents. You wouldn’t walk through a nest of rattlesnakes & complain that you got bit.
NYT says they went for the hike while she was pregnant with the first one and both children were born in captivity.
Some bad jokes just write themselves.
Apparently, they got what they sought.
I feel sorry for all the kids of “Liberals”.
They do not mean any harm, on the contrary, they are there to help! Their captors will understand their superior values and gladly accept their advice on how to live.
Yes, they made poor decisions, but that does not lessen the acts of those that have taken them. Bashing them is wasted energy and stupid.
Just because one walks through a dangerous neighborhood does not mean one is giving consent to be harmed. They may have been naive, but does not lessen remotely the acts of those who decided they had the right to take them.
I agree completely deciding to go hiking on holiday in Afghanistan as a westerner was a poor decision, but it still doesn’t mean that they are not the victims of those who are harming them.
I know its not happening with this wussy of a president, but I do hope that special forces will begin to take out the groups that do these things, quietly and completely.. SO they learn no cave, jungle, or anything else is remote enough that when you pull this crap you will not feel the wrath of the west.
It costs almost nothing to travel the third world. People there only make a few dollars a day. I’ve known burger flippers that saved up and spent months relaxing in Asia
However, any westerner there is seen as a millionaire and a target. You best blend in as much as possible
