First Lady Michelle Obama complained that despite her willingness to assist in a smooth transition for the Trump administration, she felt that Republicans in Washington D.C. never gave her husband a chance.
“[N]o matter how we felt going into it, it is important for the health of this nation that we support the commander-in-chief,” she said in an interview with Oprah Winfrey aired on CBS. “Wasn’t done when my husband took office.”
The First Lady blamed Republicans for not backing Obama, accusing them of hurting the country.
“[T]here were people who did not support his presidency,” Obama recalled. “There were people in Congress. There were leaders in Congress who did not support his presidency, which was not something that was good for the country. It was good for politics, but it wasn’t good for the country. And that wasn’t the right way to approach it.”
Obama reminded the country that the pair came into office when it was on the “brink of collapse.” She said it was clear that Americans needed more levity from their leaders.
“Americans needed a little joy and we were the joy-masters,” she said.

Bush and the Bush administration were extremely solicitous of the incoming Obama transition team. They did not purposely impose last minute regulations for the sole goal of obstructing Obama’s hope and change.
While Obama himself has been far more friendly to Trump than Michelle, some in Obama’s administration are explicitly doing their best to insulate the bureaucracy from any changes.
Slavitt of CMS is the best example. As he promised last summer, he is installing massive regulatory complexity into the bureaucracy and into the relations of the HHS bureaucracy with State agencies that administer Medicaid, and with insurance companies, and with Hospitals, doctors and other providers. None of these changes have a goal of improving people’s health. The explicit goal is to preserve the bureaucracy and everyone in it, and the programs that justify the existence of the bureaucracy.
“Joy masters”?
Well, Michelle Obama does bring joy to every room she leaves.
I’d go so far as to say that she and her husband will bring an incalculable amount of joy to the American people by leaving the White House next month.
Michelle Obama could confess her sins against America for a month, and that wouldn’t be enough time.

Actually, it was Obama that practically ignored congress, even the democrats in congress. Even members of the congressional black caucus once remarked that he never called them, and this was years into his presidency.
“Maybe it would have been different if his first statement hadn’t been “I won, you lost, get used to it.”
Miz Odrama’s statement about being proud of her country for the first time also helped set the tone of anti-Obama dislike for the next eight years. Both of them have made numerous asinine and vicious statements, and CONTINUE TO DO SO, which do not endear either one of them to us. Both of them need to just GO AWAY. Please.
