“there needs to be a law passed in TX that faithless electors are guilty of a FELONY for failing to vote as directed by the voters”

Not just Texas, but all states. If they’re free to go rogue, then we have (I think) an oligarchy. All future presidents can be selected by a few hundred people, and screw the citizens.

The electoral college system was designed to keep the larger population States from overriding the smaller population States.

What you propose is to allow CA & NY to call the shots, over the States in between.

It’s bad behavior but I went over to my the message board of my local liberal rag and posted a “Yay, Trump won!!” message. They’re blowing me up over there. After seeing 8 years of whining “Nobody ever gives 0 a chance,” I don’t feel bad.

I’m well aware of that and I’m all for it, and what I’m proposing would do no such thing.

What I’m proposing is eliminating the step where the “electors” vote. The election process should end once the general election is over and the number of electoral votes have been tabulated.

For example, at the end of this past general election Trump had I believe 306 electoral votes and Hillary 232. That should have been the end of the story.

We don’t need the people called the “electors” to have the final the final say.

Looks like someone wasted a lot of time and effort - Hillary has now lost the same election 3 times.....setting records and setting women back into the 19th century - it’s what she does....

OK, I see what you were getting at; change it from electors to electoral points.

Needs a constitutional amendment though; the Constitution talks about electors going to vote in their respective capitals.

I might not go as far as that [felony] but each elector should be reminded that they ^must^ cast their vote according to their “constituency-vote”; AKA: vox populi.

If we have Electors that ignore their voters, do we not have sedition? The votes of November have been cast, ne c’est pas?

I would rather see the localities represented by the Elector to file charges of Constitutional sedition.
Will Soros pay for a losing cause to protect his minions?

I have never understood this process. The citizens voted. We don’t need a panel of people to cast the vote that already happened.

The constitution has a process for amending it. It’s been done many times before.

Yes, and it is rightly very difficult to get an amendment passed.

I was never worried.

No one here was, except the snowflake, easily misled, ignorant, stupid, troll, or otherwise brain-addled. About 35%, I'd say.
