Top GOP senators: Aleppo 'will be a testament to our moral failure and everlasting shame'
businessinsider ^

Republican Sens. John McCain and Lindsey Graham issued a blistering statement Tuesday condemning the US' failure to act to prevent the "slaughter" of hundreds of thousands of people in Syria.

"The words 'never again' ring hollow today with reports that Aleppo is falling to Assad regime forces," the senators wrote, amid reports that forces loyal to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad were on the brink of fully recapturing the besieged city of Aleppo from opposition forces.

"For four long years, Aleppo has been at the center of the Assad regime's war on the Syrian people," the statement continued. "Together with its Russian and Iranian allies, the Assad regime has relentless targeted women and children, doctors and rescue workers, hospitals and bakeries, aid warehouses and humanitarian convoys.

You don’t think the muslims that lost family members to US backed islamist butchers - or to outright being bombed by the US- are not in line to be our next round of enemies?

I absolutely agree, it is a shame that both of you should resign congress over. The shame of giving weapons to Islamics who used those weapons to kill tens of thousands. The shame of your continued vendetta against the Assad regime that created the conditions where Islamics took over a city and used the population for their pleasures and as human shields.

The blood you see is absolutely on your hands. Now what are you going to do about the situation you created?

bla bla bla.
These two turds are in distress seeing their pals get beaten back .
Maybe they should go over there and help them, and we can then run two other candidates in SC, AZ to replace them, that is if these stupid voters in those two states wake up.

The Czar’s in Russian History always wanted a stake in the Middle East. Syria is middle East. You are right that Putin is like a Neo-Czar. Syria under Russian domination will allow for Russia’s presence in oil, and natural gas in the Middle East and exports to Western Europe.

Why? Because Assad allowed the Christian community to live and worship without interference. Assad’s government appears to be mostly secular and the radical Islamists have been trying to take over. That’s how this ol’ boy sees it!

Christians comprised 10% of Syria before the Islamist began their slaughter and the exodus that followed.

Meanwhile in a semi sane universe, we have some good news coming about Alepp:

Battle of Aleppo is over, Russia says, after deal reached to allow rebel fighters to withdraw

Rebel resistance in the Syrian city of Aleppo has ended, Russia says, after years of fighting and months of bitter siege and bombardment that culminated in a bloody retreat, as insurgents agreed to withdraw in a ceasefire.

The battle of Aleppo, one of the worst of a civil war that has drawn in global and regional powers, has ended with victory for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and his military coalition of Russia, Iran and regional Shi’ite militias.

For rebels, their expected departure with light weapons starting on Wednesday morning for opposition-held regions west of the city is a crushing blow to their hopes of ousting Assad after revolting against him during the 2011 Arab uprisings.

The Democrats have no “shame” so the fall of Aleppo and its massive casualties will mean nothing to them.

As Maoist Chairman Hillary Clinton used to say, “What difference does it make at this time”?

The blood of countless thousands in Syria drips from the hands of psychopathic warmonger John McCain.

While I think McCain should long since have retired, I have some sympathy for him. Even if, as claimed, he was a crappy pilot, he did endure years of captivity and significant torture. It would certainly have bent my mind out of shape. Maybe that's why he's so quick to think that any problem can be solved by proper application of US military force.

As far as I can tell through the smokescreen of media coverage in Syria, he's way on the wrong side. The Christian (and Muslim) villager massacres perpetrated by the rebels are so far beyond the pale of acceptable, that they must be abandoned and squashed. Under Assad, it was repressive, but if you forswore politics, you were left alone, unless they mistakenly thought you were involved.

They are Top Egos, legends in their own minds.

Their idea of Syria policy has been a gigantic fiasco. Arming Islamists was never the way to go.

Assad is bad but ISIS is far worse, especially for beyond Syria’s borders.
