Paula Broadwell, the woman whose affair with then-CIA director David Petraeus cost him his job, has accused him of having her 'thrown under the bus' over their illicit relationship.
The former intelligence officer said she felt 'betrayed' by Petraeus after news of their affair broke in 2012.
'I was in such a state of mental shock and quickly spiraled into a depression,' she told Vanity Fair.

Threw her under a bus? Sounds kind of kinky, Paula. I don’t believe that would be considered safe sex.
Thank you - they both are guilty and should be equally condemned. I will say that it was poor judgment on her part to open old wounds by attempting to excuse herself in a national publication.
His behavior was terrible and I hope he does not become Secretary of State or hold any government office involving national security or classified material ever again.
Preserving whatever was left of his marriage came first, I suppose.
Wasn’t Paula Broadwell married at the time, anyway? Didn’t this thing get exposed partly because she started bullying another (married) woman to keep her distance from Petreaus?
Say what you want, but Mr Trump had a point about women in general.
She obviously suffers from low self-worth. Sad.
I think she was sending emails to or about Jill Kelley, and Jill reported it to the Feds. The investigation brought the Petraeus/Broadwell affair to light.
I would be very surprised that Trump picks him now.
Romney, I think in the end, Trump will pick the best man. I’m thinking the best man, is a businessman like the Exxon guy.
Yep. Best as I know, Jill wasn’t involved with Petraeus, but Paula certainly thought so and the claws came out.
Weird people.
The headline/story is about her. That is why people are commenting on her.
Who sought whom? For crying out loud, men are what they are. And she was under the same rules as was he. She wants to play military and now feign victimhood. I expect more out of those women trained by our military than to now be itching about how things turned out. What the .ell did she expect... And why was she not held to the same standard as was he. He is a man.... and history demonstrates the man is the weaker sex. Do NOT pull the Muslim card, how many Muslim women in their world are afforded the same opportunities as was this woman. She let herself down.
Agreed..
Typical male chauvinism, blame the woman. Disgusting. And yes, it is absolutely the attitude of hundreds of millions of Muslim men. Coming to a town near you.

Not like she didn’t deserve it.
But.... on another note, I’m sure Romney is working overtime in the background to smear EVERY SINGLE ONE of the other people Trump as shown interest in for the SOS job. It’s just how that slime-ball works!
I would need be a 'male' to exhibit 'male chauvinism', dearie. I expect more out of the women than oh Paula could demonstrate. The subject of this thread is Paula crying over big bad boy she bedded. I think Petraeus is equally responsible.. but Paula did NOT say NO!!!!
#1 - Officers cannot be “demoted”;
#2 - The affair occured while she wss in her civilian capacity (she was/is(?) a RESERVE officer); therefore the military has no jurisdiction over the matter unless they can prove it occured during the time that she was on active orders.
No charges. Just passed over for promotion. She should have been charged for mishandling classified material. Anyone who has a clearance has a duty to report any type of infraction. Reporting on yourself is common. Petreaus and Broadwell got a pass.
‘illicit’ being the key word. It’s NOT a contract. Duh.
Never cared for the five head.
