Jill Stein: People Walk Around With Floppy Disks to Hack Voter Machines
Washington Free Beacon ^ | December 7, 2016 | Chandler Gill

Green Party presidential nominee Jill Stein told Fox News’ Neil Cavuto on Wednesday that people walk around with floppy disks in order to hack and reprogram voter machines.

Stein–who is attempting to launch election recount efforts in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin to contest Donald Trump’s victory–first explained the indicators that people looked for when a machine is suspected of being tampered with or having an error.

“So the indicators that they look for if they want to see a machine error or a foul play or tampering, you look for a couple of indicators,” she said. “So one is close race. You also look for an outcome which is the opposite of what was suggested by the polls and the exit polls.”

I keep a couple wire boards in my car just in case I need to reprogram punch card output.

It pains me to admit that I know exactly what you are talking about, and have been there done that.

My advice for Miss Stein: Hey Jill, the 80's called and left a message saying only "thumb-drive". Know what that means?

You say "thumb drive" to Jill and she thinks you're talking about holding your hamburger while steering your car.

And the RATs call US conspiracy theorists. The Dems have come up with enough conspiracy theories to last us all a lifetime. Poor babies are losing it.

You don’t remember computer punch cards? I may be showing my advanced age, but when I first got into programming — many years ago — the only input I had was a stack of punch cards.

I think around 2008...was the last batch of new CPUs that I saw that had the capability to take a floppy from a DOD source. For a year or two prior to that....it was an item which you had to ask for and added some cost to the CPU.

She’s just not that bright.

We have a guy in our IT who is 80+. I’d think I was pretty knowledgeable if I knew half of what he does.

You don’t remember computer punch cards? I may be showing my advanced age, but when I first got into programming — many years ago — the only input I had was a stack of punch cards.

I remember accepting boxes of cards through the window to run programs when I was a wee airman in Uncle Sugars bestest Air Force.

Best prank we pulled was on a pushy LT. that was always bugging us about his jobs and where they were in the queue, etc. Well, one of his jobs was about 3 1/2 boxes of cards long. We switched his job with blank cards and then proceeded to trip while bringing his cards back to the window and we "Floor Sorted" all of them. The look on his face was priceless!!!

I knew it! Yesterday I posted a reply that her next move would be claiming that the hackers were on site with the hundereds/thousands of machines and hack them localy.

She claimed she had no evidence and now this, she should be sued for false claims!

Of course, Jill "Space Debris" Stein is an out-of-touch loon, but it's interesting to note that floppy discs are still used in segments of the U.S. government, including the computers used for launching nukes.

US still uses floppy disks to control nuclear bombers & ballistic missiles

Three-quarters of federal agencies’ IT budgets go on operation and maintenance rather than upgrades, and some legacy technologies, such as floppy disks used by the Pentagon for nuclear missiles, are over 50 years old.

The overview of how the US government continues to use archaic technologies in some vital areas was given in a report released on Wednesday by the Government Accountability Office (GAO). The report said that the budget for IT modernization has fallen by $7.3 billion since 2010 while operations costs continued to grow. Of approximately 7,000 IT investments reviewed, the majority (5,223) do not spend a penny on upgrading their systems.

One of the legacy technologies identified by GAO is 8-inch floppy disks, which are used by the DoD to operate the functions of American nuclear forces. A computer system, on which deployment of ICBMs, nuclear bombers and tanker aircraft depends, runs on 1970s computers that use the floppy disks. The Pentagon plans to get rid of them by 2017, the report said.

What folks may not realize they are seeing, the old punch card system was a two step, two machine process.

Two nearly identical machines. One operator would enter the data and punch the card, A second operator on a different machine would run those card, type in the same data and verify the accuracy of the earlier input. An early step to defeat Garbage in, garbage out.

My G-d...this woman is an idiot. The polls were WRONG. People LIE to pollsters. Most pollsters have an agenda, and that is to get DEMOCRATS elected. You can't use polling to indicate that there is something WRONG with actual election results. Was BREXIT hacked, you loony green idiot???
