You don’t remember computer punch cards? I may be showing my advanced age, but when I first got into programming — many years ago — the only input I had was a stack of punch cards.

I remember accepting boxes of cards through the window to run programs when I was a wee airman in Uncle Sugars bestest Air Force.

Best prank we pulled was on a pushy LT. that was always bugging us about his jobs and where they were in the queue, etc. Well, one of his jobs was about 3 1/2 boxes of cards long. We switched his job with blank cards and then proceeded to trip while bringing his cards back to the window and we "Floor Sorted" all of them. The look on his face was priceless!!!

I still have a stack of them in my desk drawer. They’re great for making lists.
