A Rutherford County woman said her son left his visit to Santa Claus in tears because the man made fun of his weight.
Ashley Mayse said she wished she'd never brought Anthony, 9, to talk to the Santa employed by Forest City, Channel 9's partner, WLOS, reported.
Anthony posed for a picture with Santa and shared his Christmas list, but the man's final comments caused Anthony to later tear up the picture with the not-so-jolly character.
"And when it got done, he said, ‘Lay off the hamburgers and french fries’ and that really just disrespected me, and I felt awful," Anthony said.

At least he didn’t use the kid’s nickname, Chubby.
My doctors in the Navy used to smoke in their office, and minutes later, advise me to stop smoking. The tobacco vapors still billowing from their lungs as they spoke. I just accepted that this was their advice to me and my decision to make.
I didn’t see it as hypocritical, just ironic.

He probably just had a two year old visit him, now this horse of a Nine year old Crybaby sits down, Iphone in his back pocket. Cutting off all of Santa’s thigh circulation!

Amusingly, when I follow the link to the AJC website I see, among other things, a McDonalds ad.

Not saying his comment appeared to be the meanest there could be, but maybe he could have refrained altogether. At least, broach it in a decent manner. We do not know how it was said, but it definitely could come off really smarmy or mean.
Now, the kid will just have this bad memory and the immediate future for Santa in this kid’s life is not too bright.

As to “too old”, God bless him. I went to Santa the last time as an 11yo, and we hope our boy will be going until he’s 10.
I wish more kids would be child-like and have these fantasies continue a bit instead of the realities of the world thrust on them via TV and radio. Too much ugliness. Let the beauty shine on a bit more.

Look at that photo montage, the cigarette obviously pasted onto the corner of his mouth. Nobody smokes a cig with clenched teeth like that. A cigar or Tiparillo, maybe.
Ronnie’s smokes don’t even have filters, so he’d end up chewing much of the tobacco.
