Donald Trump is taking advice from President Obama about his cabinet appointments, the president-elect revealed on Wednesday.
“We have a really good chemistry together. I really like him as a person,” Trump told NBC’s Matt Lauer on the “Today” show.
Asked if he talked to the president about possible appointments, Trump responded: “I have asked him what he would think of this one and that one. We have a very good dialogue.”
He continued to kvell: “I do like him. I love getting his ideas. I take his recommendations very seriously. There are some people I will be appointing and I have appointed that he thought very highly of that person.”
Trump wouldn’t reveal more details — or which specific appointments have been discussed.
But the president-elect said to expects his secretary of state appointment to come next week.

It was, of course, Obama who suggested “Mad Dog” as Secretary of Defense.

Well so far Trump seems to be picking the opposite person that Obama would have suggested.
He’s just looking like he’s kissing Obama’s butt, it is simple PR so that Obama won’t leave an even bigger mess for him to straighten out. I am quite sure that Trump actually has nothing but contempt for Obama as President - because the guy has done NOTHING right, and really screwed up this country. Obama is the reason why Trump ran.

Doesn’t exactly sound like what you suggest. Sounds more in keeping with Ivanka picking climate change as a pet issue.
I don’t get the point of offering such gush—unless he’s still trying to butter up the opposition until he gets to the electoral college vote on the 19th.
