You Are Speed Skating |
You have what it takes to be hell on skates! |
I think it was just the handyman who was lazy and his butt was probably handed to him when he showed back up. He’s normally there until 5 p.m. and he was gone a lot earlier than that today.
The director was VERY apologetic but it didn’t put out the fire very much. I’ll swing by again tomorrow before going to the grocery store to make sure things are as they should be.
Clara’s been there two years now and this is the first time we’ve had a problem. Hope it’s the last.
I imagine they hope so too! LOL
Did your DIL get in touch with the doctor today about her test results?
You Are Skiing |
You're willing to take big risks for big rewards. |
Howdy, MEG!
Looks like you got a reasonable result. Sure beats dog-sledding. LOL
How are things with you these days? Did you get a decent soaking from the rain systems that went from TX to here and blessed us with good rain?
“I got curling too, but I live in the desert! Lol!”
All you need is artificial ice. Who knows, you may become a champion.:-)
.
Dude!
Can’t see you ice skating! :)
We had a nice rain...The bad storms missed us, thankfully.
I looked more like Betty Boop when I did ski. LOL
Still appeasing the back...It is much improved. I haven’t started decking the halls yet.
Good for you in raising a stink to get your aunt’s thermostat fixed...Applause!
She called them but they said they needed 72 hours before results will be in.
So why didn’t they tell her that when she had the x-ray done? And people wonder why I have to be nearly dying before I’ll set foot into a doctor’s office!
Aww...Betty Boop is so cute!
If you’re like this other Texan...you’ve never set foot on a ski lift. LOL!
Dog sledding? Glamis duner is what my winter sport is.
Great! Glad you got some good rain and didn’t get storms.
No storms here with this week’s round of rain but there were a lot last week. What we did get was 4.2 inches of soaking rain between Sat. evening and early this morning. YAY!
Glad to hear your back’s improving. Just don’t get overzealous (like I tend to do) and overdo things on a good day. Setbacks every time. LOL!
Just did what comes naturally today. I have a hot temper and pretty much no fuse. Hubby can attest to that. :-) Aunt Clara’s 2 weeks from her 100th birthday and doesn’t need to be in a cold room.
72 hours? For an x-ray? Sheesh! Maybe she should go to a veterinarian (I’m tempted! LOL) because they have x-rays in hand in a couple of minutes.
You and I seem to have the same feelings about going to a doctor. I’m very lucky to be blessed with good health so I’m able to stay away from them.
Well, I had to bing it, but it looks like a pretty fun sport! :)
I went on a business trip in the dead of winter to Binghamton NY with my husband when I was in my thirties...We later did go skiing. I can’t recall the name of the resort. I had a great ski outfit that I wore when it was frigid in Texas later on.
;o)
I broke my knee slipping on ice in Texas and that ended my ski adventures...I was able to gradually get back to slolom water skiing.
I know...it’s ridiculous! I’ve always thought my animals’ vets had more compassion for their patients than my own doctors!
The MDs could take some lessons from vet school!
I’ve never water skied either. Not a good swimmer. Let’s face it...I have NO athletic ability or desires. LOL!
Water skiing was great fun...We always wore ski belts for safety. My kids loved it.
The dealings I’ve had with doctors vs. the dealings with the cats’ vets, I tend to agree.
You Are Figure Skating |
You could bring the best of both worlds to this glamorous sport. |
(Spot on. I was really into ice skating as a teenager.) |
