On July 7, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, Donald J. Trump, met privately with House Republicans near the Capitol. I was present as chief policy director of the House Republican Conference. Mr. Trump’s purpose was to persuade the representatives to unite around him, a pitch he delivered in a subdued version of his stream-of-consciousness style. A congresswoman asked him about his plans to protect Article I of the Constitution, which assigns all federal lawmaking power to Congress.

Obama thwarted the Constitution on a regular basis. I didn’t see the Dinosaur Times getting the vapors over that.
But that was back in the day when at least half a dozen people still considered that rag relevant.
Article XII does NOT exist.
Amendment XII exists.
Should be titled: “Trump Is a Threat to Uphold the Constitution”....that’s why they fear 4 years of Trump.
Not a snopes lover, but reading the article gives me the same impression as “no one loves the 2nd amendment more than me” and “no one loves the Bible more the me”.
Hyperbole is a tool. Evidently one that escapes the MSM abilities to cope with.

Face it. No matter what he says or does, (manufactured) shock is going to sweep the rooms of the NYT. He says left, they say right. He says day, they say night. It’s how it is.
I dunno. I think we should start ignoring crapola like this. Maybe concentrate on the first 100 days promises. Build a scorecard. Ask the new president week to week how he’s coming. If he doesn’t try seriously hard on those items, shock should sweep through the country.
I have faith in our new guy. I want to keep on winning, which means avoiding getting drawn into these pointless issues.
No executive orders; no cloture; no judge-inveigling/no Justice Dept. packing/no nominees we don’t like; no reduction in federal govt. personnel; no stopping grant money to `sanctuary cities’/municipal scofflaws or other `greater good’ agencies; no presidential checkbook, unless to write 500 million dollar global warming checks to the UN; no Christmas Eve laws, unless it’s to pick-the-citizens-pockets laws; no `ghost-jobs’ or feather bedding, unless they are Democrats. He was off by only 5, Obama was off by 7 in the number of U.S. states. Perhaps he thought roman numeral V stood for 10, thus making VUU 12.
