Several Democratic members of the New York congressional delegation think President-elect Donald Trump should pay for his own security costs if his family chooses to maintain two residences while he's in the White House.
In a letter Monday to New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, six Democrats representing various New York City boroughs said Trump should pick up the tab for the security costs of living in Washington and Manhattan.
Also Monday, de Blasio said he’s asking the Obama administration to reimburse New York $35 million for Trump’s security costs through Inauguration Day on Jan. 20. He specifically requested House and Senate leaders to include the funds in an upcoming government spending bill expected to be considered in Congress this week.

The Obamas and the Clintons have paid for nothing.
Trump has paid for his campaign, his plane and a lot lf his own security.
NYC politicians can shove it and furthermore, Americans are getting tired of footing the bill for their sanctuary inhabitants who they import to vote for them.
Right after the Obamas have to pay for all of their vacations that they took treating all of their family members, friends, neighbors and everybody else to an all-expense-paid vacation for the past 8 years. Also for supporting granny who live like a queen on my dime.

It's 45 days to the inauguration. Assuming that the average NYPD officer assigned to Trump receives $100k in annual compensation (or $400/day for a 250 day work year) that works out to 1,944.4 NYPD officers assigned to Trump on an average day.
Seriously? I'd like to see the accounting for that.

While I have high respect for the NYPD. I would wager that if Trump put his mind to it he could probably provide a pretty strong security detail for himself.
The federal treasury should pay for it, especially because Obama’s delays of white house security upgrades will keep Trump from using the Oval Office for a year.
I say break NY’s back & bank. They stopped traffic and fell all over Hillary. She is entitledto SS protection but not at the Presidential level. Trump won and he deserves to make his own choices.
