Many things have been happening in this “transition period” that point to one grim fact: Trump hasn’t sworn into office as president yet. As a matter of fact, things are happening that may very well derail that inauguration. There’s an old Irish expression: “There’s many a slip ‘twixt the cup and the lip,” and there’s quite a few slippery deeds in the works in particular that bear mentioning. January 20, 2017 is still a long way off, and Obama isn’t done just yet.
From an international perspective, something very heinous happened in the dead of night just a little more than a week ago. The House of Representatives passed a resolution, H.R. 5732, in a special session that included the suspension of normal rules. Suspensions are characteristically used for bills that are not controversial. H.R. 5732 is as controversial as they come: it holds the Caesar Syria Civilian Protection Act of 2016, with Sec. 303 holding the provision for the establishment of a no-fly zone over Syria.
The H.R. was introduced by Eliot Engel of New York (how surprising), and not only does the no-fly zone apply to Syrian planes in their own airspace, but also raises the prospect of engagements between U.S. and Russian aircraft. Trump’s “reset” with Russia doesn’t occur until January 20, and there’s still a lot of time in between now and then.
Also, Jill Stein is challenging the election results in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. Isn’t it a coincidence that the three states are “swing” states that could (if reversed) help to affect a reversal of the whole thing? Isn’t it also a coincidence that Hillary Clinton is “for” ....

People are fearful that is why there are pessimistic statements. The fear is not totally without basis as the negro community organizer from Chicago has pulled many an unconstitutional act.
Good! I’m sick of the panic even though I can understand it and probably contributed to it a time or two. When other Freepers panic I tend to do it because I think maybe they know something I don’t know.
I trust your comments because so far you haven’t led us wrong! My only concern is cheating because we know they will if they can.
On one hand I wish Trump could get the recounts stopped but if there is no danger of the libs stealing the states it’s probably better to let it play out so that there is no more doubt and MAYBE they (Libs) will shut up and accept it.
Actually they have yet too come up with even 1 “found” vote.
What about the 22k “provisional” and absentee votes in WI I know it wasn’t the actual recount but days later. Now another 16.6k in PA. In PA, Hillary got 90% of absentee/provisional.
Because I’m so sick of these “OMG, what if” threads, I asked TEAM TRUMP direct:
What is your confidence level you come away with these (recount) states?”
Answer: “1000%”
You must have been the only one getting a good night sleep that night (back in 2000). Even though Gore conceded (for about a half hour) I knew that FL was not safe and headed for a recount. I don't know what was going through Al Gore's mind during that half hour but I read that his handlers were not going to let him get on that stage even if they had to physically restrain him. Eventually they talked sense into him and he took back the concession.
Many gave Gore grief for putting us through what we went through. But he did the right thing. You better believe that if the situation was reversed, it would be our side demanding the recount and trying to reverse questionable ballots. Thank God we prevailed but that just goes to show you how every vote really does count.
Bush was just 537 votes ahead in FL at the end of the night but even that slim margin was not able to get overturned in a state that is much bigger than any of the states we are talking about today.
So the situation today is not even in the same ballpark. In the closest state (MI), Trump has a lead 20X more than what Bush had in FL. Wisconsin has a Trump lead 44x as large and in PA Trump has a lead about 100X what Bush had in FL. And ALL THREE of those states would need to flip to get Clinton the victory. Which just isn't going to happen.
This election wasn't even really close. We have several elections in modern times that were closer than this: GWB in (2000 and 2004), Carter in 1976, Nixon in 1968 and JFK in 1960. Other than 2000, we didn't have much drama in any of the other closer ones.
Looking at the situation rationally, observe how Trump is putting together his staff, speaking to world leaders, even going on victory tours!
The recounts won't change a thing. Wisconsin is almost halfway through and so far Trump's lead has only changed by a dozen or so votes (in his favor no less) and his 22,000+ lead is a lock. Nobody is going to find a dump truck full of Hillary votes!
When the WI recount is done and certified later this week, it will no longer matter what happens in MI or PA. Trump will be at his 270.
It's over. It's done. On January 20th, it will be President Trump.
When Team Trump tells me it’s 1000% that ALL of the states are safe, well, they haven’t told me anything wrong yet.

You are way off. The 22,000 in PA were the net total of prov and absentee ballots awarded to Clinton and their existence was known on election day but they were not tallied and included in the totals on election day because there were not enough of them to make a difference.
The 16,000 is just a bogus number referring to those same ballots. In WI there were no additional ballots awarded tno Clint’on.
The Left is not even trying to overturn the election.
Seems to me they know very well they are reduced to frigging ashes, financially as well as electorally.
Follow the money and repair your pearls.
A billion dollars has been burned through to prop up the politically clumsy Hillary, who is the stupidest woman in the room, as it turns out, and thoroughly corrupt as well.
The Left is broke and starts all over to build a war chest outside of the, heretofore, long reach of the Clinton’s sticky fingers.
Silly Stein is a mule for rousing the stupid people, invigorating the commie leaning Lefty base of voters and getting some new money circulating for clean up of all those ashes.

Thank you for the reassurance. We need to hear your statements to help keep the sanity. I am just a little anxious as we can expect anything from the left.
Believers, whether these shenanigans are reported or not, PRAY WITHOUT CEASING. We all praised God when we got the election results, because we believed God has performed a miracle. There are those who thought, “Whew! Thank God that’s over!” BUT, 2 Chronicles 7:14 still stands, and still is a promise of God. It is something that we must pray every day! Just because the election is over does not mean we can stop praying. “If my people which are called by my name, will humble themselves and seek my face and pray and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear their prayer and forgive their sins and heal their land”. Is our land healed yet? No it is not. Yes, we have won a GREAT battle, but the war is not over. It is just one battle in war against an enemy that wants to destroy our country. Frankly, he almost made it! Praise God we woke up before it was too late. But we cannot sit back and rest. Yes, I believe DJT will be inaugurated, but the forces of darkness are trying to prevent it. Pray without ceasing, even after the inauguration. Four hundred years ago, a group of Christians made a covenant with God, dedicating this land to Him. God keeps his covenants. But just as the Israelites broke covenants with God, and were punished for it, we have been punished for not keeping the covenant our Christian forerunners made with God. But just as He honored His Covenant with Israel, He did not allow them to be destroyed utterly. God keeps His covenants! But, as we have seen in the Bible, He expects us to keep our side of the covenants we make with Him. Pray without ceasing.
I admit, when I watch this recount drama, I become fearful. But then I realize, I must trust and believe, and there is more to that than just mental and spiritual assent. I must get into the Word, and pray the Word over this situation. And, if you look at the conditions of 2 Chronicles 7:14, we must:
1) Humble ourselves before God.
2) Seek His face.
3) Pray.
4) TURN FROM OUR WICKED WAYS.
Those are the conditions under which God has promised to heal our land. Let us be diligent in all four of these conditions.
Having once believed if BO’B were elected, we would NEVER get his black butt out of our White House; now finding the the silent majority has awakened, we’ve found a strong leader who leads from the front. A leader who wins, who is intelligent and loves his country.
For BO’B and his minions, they might make an attempt to hang on, but their grip would be weak. 40 plus days, and they hang on by fingertips. Then we must worry about the MESS BO’B and crew has made of the world (period)
