Trump has had a real job. Carson has been a neurologist in a pristine hospital with nurses kissing his ass.
I’m influenced heavily by hearing him speak for an hour and a half.
He told stories sort of like the parables of Christ. An experience, a moral. He slips in a dagger so sharp, the victim doesn’t feel it til it is fatally twisted.
He said that while growing up, they had to be very careful with raisin bran. They needed to be sure the raisins were not roaches.
Then he said he shouldn’t be telling that story because his colleagues on the Kelloggs board might not appreciate it.
(ooops..... just introduced another reason not tho like him)
Ben will do fine. If anyone causes problems he will stab them.
Here is an interesting take yldstrk.
At a recent meeting of like minded conservatives, the discussion of Detroit and or outreach came up. While a great idea, one discussion item was a pastor was told they are more apt to take advice / tutelage from those that live their. So the Pastor moved their.
Now Dr Carson can't live in Compton, Camden etc etc etc. However, with his background of actually growing up and succeeding from Detroit gives him an in if you will ( IMHO ) and any of his reforms, initiatives via HUD might not fall on deaf ears.
IMHO this is another example of Winning, and no I am not tired of it.
Also, did any of you see Mary Barra GM's CEO will be on Trumps team of Econ Advisers? put the GM debate aside, I know people that know her and the one term they use to define her management ( and yes it would an understanding of econ by extension ) is "Rock Star".
Again I am not tired of winning. Local Radio guy here in MI had a guest on this A.M. that noted in his econ adviser team meetings, Obama played with his phone and basically looked like he couldn't wait to get out of their.
Trump will listen to Barra and anyone else on that team.
Donald has plenty of construction experience. If he says he’s good, Ben Carson is good.
“The 65-year-old has no previous policy experience in the field of urban development.”
But using bureaucrats has not worked out for us thus far. This is the administration of real change and optimism. Time to think outside of the political box. Carson brings heart and wisdom.
LOL
Amen! Carson is an excellent pick for this position.
Good! He’ll make a great Designated Survivor.
parts of America are waking
“HUD is not in the construction business.”
That’s like saying Obamacare isn’t involved in healthcare.

HOORAY Donald Trump
HOORAY Ben Carson
I thought the MSM/pundits/DC polticicos said Trump was racist? What’s he doing appointing a person of color to his cabinet?
If HUD is eliminated, I would be more than okay with that. If it’s merely shrunken down, that is fine too but easier for the next liberal to bloat it out again.
HUD is not a major Department...it only employs 9000 Fte’s.
Can you explain that a bit?
He wouldn’t take the job if he thought he couldn’t do it.
Great pick, he is conservative and would work well with new administration to cut back unneeded fat.
There's a fine line between a point man and a figurehead.
I'll try to be optimistic.
