It’s not that the changing end result that has people pissed off (although if it did, it would be the start of an outright civil war), it’s the challenge to the process and undermining the system through manipulation of loopholes that has angered everyone. Their hipcracy is beyond measure and should be dealt with in a way that even the most low-info, simple-minded lib can understand.
Actually, Soros should be arrested for this. Better yet, hand his sorry azz over to Putin and let the Russians “discipline” him.
We need voter reform that includes voter ID. Existing laws that allow these frivolous requests need to be revised to prevent this in the future.. Right now, common sense has gone out the window.

I use the Comments sort, rather than by articles.

I get a quick view of current replies and article headings, and then if something interests me, I read the article and the thread.

If you used a software like “Dragon” where all you have to do is speak, and it your words are typed on the screen, you could just tell stories, then organize and edit the stories into a book.

You are an Italian conservative on a red island in dark blue metropolis.

Good stuff there!

I do hope you are correct. This is such BS! The recounts always go in the democraps favor. Not to mention the illegal voting and voter fraud.

Agree, but part of the problem is that it’s federalism at work. There are STATE laws governing the process. So if you impose fed guidelines, watch out. Could bite you in the butt.

AZ had a lot of CA migrants who hated the taxes there. But it was still +5.3% Trump, McTurd won by more than 10, other senator is a RINO, house and senate are R.

In short, the change won’t amount to much. Trump got about 40% of Hispanics here, and will push that above 50% in 2020 if he does what he promises.

So, AZ COULD become a bastion. NM was 11 points. Trump thought it was 2 and gettable. But Johnson made a huge difference there and in NV. Without Johnson, both of those are razor thin. Same thing as AZ: solid performance by Trump and I think he can sweep all of these, plus CO.

I didn’t know there was a comment sort! Nobody tells me anything around here. Jim will hear about this :) Then he’ll kick me off!

I can’t write a book. I could tell all the stories on Dragon and a writer could organize them.

I remember the time I was in the passenger seat, my friend Joe was driving and Big Gerard was in the back. We were maybe 18.

Some quidos thought we cut them off and wouldn’t stop following us. My friend tried to lose them because he didn’t want trouble, but they REALLY stayed on our tail.

Then he said “I can’t take this sh.t no more!! Are you with me?”

I said pull over bro.

They were on our tail so bad that we ended up sideswiping a telephone pole.

Joe got out and I got out. They were on us in a FLASH! Geez. We had to punch our way out of the car!

Of course, the steroid beast came to my side. We tangled a little, throwing a lot of punches in a little time, and Joe was winning his fight.

Suddenly, the guy losing the fight yells across the street and 18 MORE quidoes came over. All friends with the two a@@holes that started the trouble.

It gets worse. Bit Gerard LOCKED THE DOORS ON US!!!!

One guy stepped up and said just get out of here guys.

But before we got in the car, one of those mother ####ers kicked Joe in the privates.

He wouldn’t let them see he was in pain. Joe was a tough ####ing WOP.

We were too far from our own neighborhood to get there and honk to get our boys out of their houses and join in.

What a day.

Democrats are actually teenagers; they can rationalize any kind of bad behavior, are oblivious to shame, and feel entitled to that which they have not earned.

AZ was only +3.5% Trump, down from +9 Romney. Johnson’s total went up about 2.75% this time from 2012. Can’t use Johnson as that much of an excuse because he was on the ballot in 2012 too. And only half Trump’s lost Romney votes went to Johnson.

NM, CO and NV all moved significantly towards the GOP candidate from 2012. AZ moved MASSIVELY away. It’s a major unreported story and simply exacerbates the disastrous electoral trend the GOP is having in the Southwest.

Also keep in mind that AZ had the 2nd biggest increase in votes from 2012, next to Texas. This seems to indicate there was a big increase in liberals moving to AZ and so this vote shift will be permanent.

Similar problem in TX, but the GOP is still so far ahead in TX that swinging that state to the Dems is still a distant threat at best.

Well, no. Johnson was THE default option of neverTrumpers this time. We know that from internal audits of absentees. Right after the sextape hit, we found that R absentee ballots voting Johnson shot up. They later fell. So Johnson in fact pulled very, very big from Trump with the educated Republicans, especially women. Same in New Hampshire.

Oh, and I live here in AZ. It’s not just Californians. They came in the 1990s, but largely that flood is done. Increasingly, I see older people from the midwest: IN, MO, OH, PA, MI, WI. I don’t think these people are nearly as liberal as the CA wave.

Sorry, just not that worried about AZ. Never have been. They are not all libs, probably not even a majority libs. The lib wave is largely over.

You’re making my point about Johnson. It wasn’t his name being on the ballot that got him votes (unlike McMullin in Utah who really was a special case). It was people’s opposition to Trump that got Johnson votes.

There is no getting around that Trump lost massive ground compared to Romney’s 2012 performance in AZ, relative to almost all other states. Hillary only gained ground on Obama in 13 states. AZ was the 4th biggest gain. And it’s the only one that matters because none of the others are states that really could swing. GA is the only one that might, but the Dem gains in GA, if the same margin of gain repeated, would still not be enough to swing it in 2020. AZ, on the other hand, only needs to repeat 2/3rds of its margin gain to flip the state in 2020.

It’s easy to say Trump has a great performance in the next 4 years and makes gains everywhere. That renders the debate moot. But the Dems are going to be working hard to defeat him in 2020 non-stop for 4 years. If Trump merely treads water or holds his ground, they will be targeting AZ as a major potential pick-up.

And I’ll tell you again, as a native Arizonian, they are wasting their time. But go for it.

That would be more convincing if you could explain why Trump had such a weak performance in AZ this time compared not only to the national trend but to even the neighboring states.

I would explain it as AZ being MORE conservative than the neighbors (UT a special case). That is, most of AZ’s Republicans are pretty conservative. Strangely enough, they see McTurd as conservative.

I think that it is less nationalist/populist than many states because while the economy has slipped some, in the past 20 years it boomed. There isn’t a lot of economic angst here as there was in Ohio. You see a similar performance in FL where there were a lot of “neverTrumper” Republicans. A lot of GOP here are still loyal to McTurd and Flaky.

Anyway, fret away. You seem to do well with that.

Hillary needs PA plus either MI or WI. If she doesnt’ get PA the other 2 don’t matter.
