One person, a male faculty member, has been fatally stabbed on the USC campus and a suspect is in custody.
The victim is a man, approximately 25 years old, says Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Just after 4:30 p.m., firefighter paramedics responded to a reported stabbing on the 3600 block of McClintock Avenue, located on campus near the Seeley G. Mudd building and the schools running track.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, Stewart said. No other injuries have been reported.
USCs college newspaper The Daily Trojan reported on Twitter that police locked down the Seeley G. Mudd building and students were advised to stay away from the area.
An officer from the LAPDs Southwest community station confirmed officers were investigating a homicide and had at least one suspect in custody.
In a separate incident, a male suspect who was reported to have been acting aggressively sprayed a woman with a fire extinguisher inside the Doheny Library at USC. The library was evacuated, but the incident is unrelated to the fatal stabbing at the campus Seeley G. Mudd building, according to the Daily Trojan.
Damn! She must be hot!
Is this a change of semesters? Might be a grade thing.
“Damn! She must be hot!”

Must have been -— before the party pooper perp put her fire out.
Most likely murdered by someone who has contributed nothing to anyone’s life. A net loss for the gene pool.
There can be a lot of homicidal motives floating around a college campus.
A jilted lover.
A cuckolded husband or boyfriend.
A rejected graduate thesis or dissertation.
Plus the usual random violence or psychopaths.
So true. Reading his bio tells you he was a huge asset to society only to be done in by a piece of human garbage. Wanna bet we won’t get an accurate description of the suspect in the media.

It’s probably a tri-fecta.
The young faculty member left the closet and safety
“USC has a pretty campus, but unless things have changed in recent years, it is not in a good neighborhood.”
I’m from the east coast. 24 years ago my daughter and I were visiting colleges for her. As we were looking for a parking spot at USC, we noticed security clubs on every car in the faculty parking lot at USC.
When we went inside a building and talked with a few students, the guys we talked with said, “You don’t want to come here. It’s too dangerous.”
She ended up at a wonderful school in the southeast. One of the best experiences of her life. Clemson.
UCLA's only national championship was in 1954, and their success prompted my Dad to buy our first TV, a black-and-white RCA. I was five, and watching the football players running around on the screen confused me, so I looked in back to see if I could see the tiny men.
Gads those were such evil sob's. Campus life was very quiet until those people started in on their crap.
Muslum?
Homo?
Democrat?
At least one of the three, probably two out three and a possible 3 out of 3!be
Have the liberal mediots and congressits been on tv screaming for more gun control?
The msm is certainly being mum about the suspect. Only one search turned up he/she/it is a student but nothing more.
Well, dang it, Daily News, if you don’t give us some particulars on the perp how are we to know what sort of backlash to refrain from engaging in?
Muzzard?
“The msm is certainly being mum about the suspect. Only one search turned up he/she/it is a student but nothing more.”
I did my normal google and other searches and came up with nothing.
Also, ABCNNBCBS, NY/LA Slimes and the Compost are very tight lipped about the killer. Which means hesheit is probably one of their snowflakes/special people, who turned violent. Then hesheit does not meet their matrix of an evil Trump supporter.
Just checked. Perp’s ID still not public.
