Really?? Can everyone get a grip here? This is true ups of the absentees and provisionals. Philly was completed and certified Wednesday morning at 8:00. Current Trump lead is a bit under 50,000. He’s fine. I get the concern because the Democrats are the Democrats, but it’s like reading a thread of political hypochondriacs around here.

This will cause neither...all this talk of Civil War is absolute nonsense...especially in the context of this recount. Any recount will not net enough votes for Hillary to win any of the states Stein is contesting. You're assuming that the only votes "found" will be for Clinton...this is not statistically possible. Nothing will change and all this speculation and conjecture is just that...speculation and conjecture. Don't take your eye off the prize.
And that is how the revolution began.
NO. There is no reason to calm down or “get a grip” until the recount BS is done. There are still multiple lawsuits, especially in Michigan.
Agreed...pearl clutchers.
if the dims rig it, and Hillary becomes President, then all I will say is:
Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammunition!
May that hero of Pearl Harbor rest in peace!
A federal court in Wisconsin on Friday rejected an attempt by pro-Trump groups to stop a recount of the state's presidential vote, saying there was no harm in allowing it to continue.
Two pro-Trump political action committees and a Wisconsin voter on Thursday filed a lawsuit and a request for a temporary restraining order seeking to stop the recount, arguing that it was an unconstitutional violation of the Constitutional rights of people who had voted for Trump.
The lawsuit was filed by the Great America PAC, the Stop Hillary PAC and Wisconsin voter Ronald R. Johnson. The lawsuit contends that the recount that started Thursday threatens the due process rights of Johnson and others who voted for Trump. Trump won Wisconsin and the recount was requested by Stein.
The lawsuit also argued that errors are likely in the recount, as election officials are rushing to meet a Dec. 13 deadline.
But U.S. District Judge James Peterson on Friday denied the motion to temporarily halt the recount, saying there would be no harm in allowing it to proceed while the state prepares arguments in defense.
Peterson scheduled a hearing for Dec. 9 on the underlying lawsuit.
Its not really. They don’t count provisional and some late arriving mail in unless the amount is higher than the remaining separation between the top candidates. Now that they are doing a recount they have added them in. They are now in. So that number should not grow.
It's true, alright. But they didn't "find" them. Instead, they counted all the overseas and military absentee ballots (that had until 11/15 to arrive) and Hillary gained about 22,000 votes in the process.
Trump still wins. And will win any re-count (which is restricted to ballots already counted).
Are you on Twitter? There’s a guy on there who goes by the handle @DissingerToupee. He’s got some insider info. on PA. He says that several thousand Philly and surrounding area registrations were delivered to Harrisburg instead of the correct voting precincts. So, when those voters went to vote on election day, they did not have registrations on file at the correct polling place and had to fill out provisional ballots. It took this long to determine the legitimacy of those ballots in theory. If they wanted to cheat, they didn’t do a great job because they still needed 20kish more to trigger the automatic recount.
So..how due you explain timelines from a PA election law perspective? What if a bump of 22,000 just slightly diff, makes the loser come in at 0.5% vs 2016’s 0.8%? Three weeks after election night, and too late to initiate a timely (mandated) recount? No way from election day to Nov 28th to recount (roughly Dec 1) could all this get cleaner up by certification day.
Old, ready and willing bro. With a smile on my face as well.
That is a good question. Are the other counties counting their absentee ballots or just Phily. If the latter, sounds like another Fla in 2000. If one county counts them, then all should be required to count them.
I stand corrected...mea culpa.
You don't have to get snippy, noob.
If they flip PA, they would still have to flip BOTH Wisconsin AND Michigan. All three would give Hillary the election.
Possible? Perhaps. Likely? Not very.
They always knew these votes were there because they’ve been there since election day. They knew the numbers could not close to 0.5%. The sec. of state or election commission, or someone from the state would have been mentioning this auto. recount trigger if it were a possibility based on the outstanding ballots.
Folks, Philly simply counted every provisional ballot including the dead, New Yorkers, and voters who had no clue they even voted. Even the infamous Philly cheating couldn’t find enough votes to stop the Trump Train. We’re good in PA.
This late counting from Philly should be remembered for future elections. Meaning, an unofficial lead of 30k election night is likely to lead to heartbreak.
Yeah, I am old enough to consider my life complete as well. Molon Labe.
These are from heavily dem leaning precincts within Philly. They only get 74 of these precincts. But they lean more dem than any others in the state.
