Said Trump: They are terrific people, highly respected, brilliant people and well be announcing that pretty soon too.

Frankly I’d rather he wait until January. The current president has a pick already. We’re better off just ignoring the issue for a month and a half.

Why give the media and Democrats (redundant) so much time to dig up dirt and come up with a battle plan? Why not announce the pick one week (or days) before confirmation hearings? As far as I know there is nothing that says you have to give any certain amount of time between nomination and confirmation hearings.
Republicans are in charge now. Ram the selection through in a matter of days!

Merrick Garland will withdraw soon.
No one knows who Trump will name to the High Court.
Its been overlooked by MSM outlets since the election.

I wonder who the choices are?
I hope he chooses Diane Sykes, a strong, smart conservative from a key state. I’m also intrigued by Robert Young of the Michigan Supreme Court. Young’s stated philosophy is that we should have Rule of Law, not Rule of Judges.

I agree. The the less time they have to Bork/Thomas the candidate the better.

Young, Cruz, Gowdy.
Young for the most recent opening, Cruz for the next, and Gowdy for Chief Justice if Roberts leaves the bench.
A pipe dream, I know, but at this time, why not go big?

Only one SCOTUS woman was appointed by a Republican and she was an improvement over her predecessor.

You’d think Cruz would sell us out like what Roberts did on obamacare? He’s a scummy guy but not as effing scumbaggish like Roberts.
