Wisconsin Representative Sean Duffy (R-WI) went on with Tucker Carlson tonight to discuss the recount in Wisconsin. Duffy said Democrats and far left Green Party supporters are stalling the recount in Dane County Wisconsin, where Madison is located. The county is holding a hand recount. The recount will not be completed by the deadline on December 20th. Therefore, according to Rep. Duffy, the state will quite possibly be forced to forfeit their electoral votes. This was the plan all along. Democrats knew they couldnt make up 20,000 votes. But they also knew if they stalled on the recount the state

The WI legislature is not in session, Walker will have to call a special session to certify. Watch the democrat legislators boycott the session causing a lack of quorum. They’ve done it before.
Of course the outrage and backlash against them will be terrible, but I really think they don’t care.
Even if WI’s electoral votes aren’t counted, the results stay the same. The number needed to win will simply be 270 less what WI’s would have been.
If the recount cannot be completed in the required time, why would they not revert to the previous results?
If starting a recount, but not finishing it, nullified the Electoral Votes, losers would be trying that in every state where they lost.
Terrible play by Democrats.
1. Putting the country through chaos will alienate voters further.
2. By alleging a problem with vote fraud, they’ve opened the door for Trump to come back and audit states like California where hundreds of thousands of illegals are registered; Illinois where dead are registered; etc.
If we can dodge this, get Trump and power, we can then use these antics against Dems.
Worriers gonna worry:)
Are they going to flee the state again? Going to try to recall Walker over this? We have seen how that goes once before.
Common sense has no place on a thread like this:)
“Cant you imagine the legitimate outrage if Democrats disenfranchise an entire state?”
Like California, Washington and Oregon?
All rational people have been outraged at the demoncrat party since its inception.
Jim Hoft has turned into a damned drama queen! This
WILL NOT HAPPEN.
Well the GOP and its lawyers should be doing more than whining about the recount and start taking these Rats and the WI Election Commission to court NOW. Same with MI and PA. There are some actionable grounds in which they can stop this recount (or at least try) if they get off their duffs, both in the courts and legislatively.
Also, isn’t their any GOP district attorney in these states willing to open up a very public fraud investigation into Stein and her recount fund raising operation? Or launch an investigation into who is funding her and whether she is receiving large illegal donations from foreign citizens (Soros).
“State Will Be Forfeited Won´t Count For Trump!”
What do they get by forcing Wisconsin to forfeit their Electoral votes?
Article XII of he Constitution states: “The person having the greatest number of votes for President, shall be the President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of Electors appointed; “
Note that it says “appointed”, not all that could be appointed.
If Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania all forfeit their electoral votes, even though he has less than 270 Electoral votes, Trump still wins because the new majority is less than 270 and he has more than enough votes to prevail.
I agree and I saw this interview. Right before Tucker had to cut the interview the last thing Rep. Duffy said was they may have to go to court. I despise Democrats!!!
Exactly. That reduces the total electors from 539 to 529. A "true majority" would then become 265. Trump had 307, reduce that by WI's 10, he has 297. 297 is greater than the new true majority of 265, so he still wins.
The person having the greatest Number of votes for President, shall be the President, *****if such number be a majority of the whole number of Electors appointed;***** and if no person have such majority, then from the persons having the highest numbers not exceeding three on the list of those voted for as President, the House of Representatives shall choose immediately, by ballot, the President. But in choosing the President, the votes shall be taken by states, the representation from each state having one vote; a quorum for this purpose shall consist of a member or members from two-thirds of the states, and a majority of all the states shall be necessary to a choice. U.S. Constitution, Amendment XII
I would agree, it’s a very dangerous strategy.
First, if people spent an entire year in this election frenzy, democrat and republican....and the vote doesn’t count, why bother ever voting again? Or why shouldn’t I sue the state, and the Green Party for disenfranchising my vote?
Second, if this is accepted...why not repeat it in eight years? If Republicans can maintain a grip on 26 states having a republican-led House position, and a democrat wins in 2024 barely...republicans could perform the same trick and cancel out the Electoral College, and have the House vote for the person.
It just opens a can of worms with serious consequences down the road.
Personally, if you haven’t requested a recount within seven days of the election...I think your situation ought to be finished. I would imagine some states will write a law that if there’s more than 10-percent difference between the winner and the losers...no recount will be accomplished under any situation.
Lose ALL federal funding of any kind!
Just punishment?
I can’t imagine that being the case. If it is, then in 2020, republicans should wait until the last possible minute to recount New York, California and Illinois. That’s 104 EV total to be invalidated.
I saw that too and was scratchin my head about the 20th.
Wisc. changed their recount deadline to 12/12 in order to put things in place to be ready to go 12/13.
The elector vote is 12/19/2016
