Do you have information that supports this theory?

The MSM are quickly jumping in to downplay the event, as they always downplayed good economic news when Bush II was president, e.g., “ . . . jobless rate continues to drop, but some say . . . “

Such reductions are not wonderful for the 1000 let go, but they might also be offered retraining for new jobs.

very similar strategy to what obammy & hildabeast offered up to the coal miners: “retraining”

I’m reserving judgement until we see exactly what the announced but unspecified economic incentives from Indiana for Carrier will cost - these sorts of arrangements have a nasty habit of turning into a situation where state or local government “buys” job security at a very high cost per job in the form of tax breaks or the like, and then the employer never creates the promised jobs, or “discovers” a few years later that the plant has to be closed anyway.

Foe example, here in Illinois:

And Carrier has a history with this, a few years back, they received a five milion dollar Advanced Manufacturing Tax Credit grant specifically targeted to keep jobs in the US:

Radio host Ben Shaipro was all angry yet again at Donald Trump for doing this. He wants to know what he gave to Carrier in exchange.

Blue skies and sunny and Ben will complain about the shade of blue and the sun is just too bright.

/He’s not going to win every time.

Yup, but at least he tried, and by trying, saved some of the jobs. I’m pretty sure Hillary wouldn’t even have made the effort and they all would have been out of work.

Trump was not my choice, but dayum, the guy is moving fast and in the right direction. I can’t complain so far.

I think a lot of folks who didn’t think he got the Conservative ideology are in for a massive shock over the next four years.
