Didn't concentrate? Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH) has been in the house since January 2003, and he's now figured out Democrat legislation hasn't been good for the economy? How long is the learning curve for Democrats?

Good he's finally caught on, but these should be the people confronting the leadership before they pass utopian economic legislation. How many times were we told "jobs, jobs, jobs"? Too many. their legislators have not concentrated enough? Just a couple of the many examples of 'concentration' efforts by Democrats;

10/21/2009
Transcript of Pelosi, House Democratic Leaders, and Economists’ Press Conference Following Economic Forum

Speaker Pelosi. "Good afternoon. We just had a very instructive meeting with some leading economists about the number one subject on the minds of the American people: jobs. Jobs, jobs, jobs, and jobs."

2009
Senator Klobuchar (D-Mn)

Klobuchar "This bill is about jobs, jobs, and jobs."
Klobuchar "This is President Obama's plan -- jobs, jobs, jobs."
Klobuchar "Mr. President, I ask my colleagues to support this important legislation. It's about jobs, jobs, and jobs."

He makes more sense than Peelousy does, but that isn’t saying much.

Peelousy is 76, Spendy Horror is 77, and Clyburned is 76.

They do need someone younger.

Dems keep telling us about how “nuanced” they are. Nope. Just like the RINOS, they still don’t get it.

Dems focused on the economy all right. They focused on killing the economy. Unfortunately for you, some of your own constituents noticed that.

You failed because your candidate was a bitter product.

Trump was a better product...

Now, swallow your pill and move on...

OTH, how could you say it was because you didn’t focus on the economy?

To hear your side, everything is fine.

Lowest job rate in history - Lie
Economy is doing swell - Lie
Longest continual job growth int he history of the country - Lie

Etc, Etc, Etc...

I don’t think he said the economy is perpetually crummy BECAUSE of Dem economic policy. I think he means that they didn’t FOCUS on the economy. They need to tell all us more frequently and with greater stridency how super the economy is. We don’t need coal jobs — all the new windmill and solar jobs will replace them. We don’t need cheap energy — solar and wind are good and will provide lots of jobs when we tear down perfectly good coal and nuclear plants. You shouldn’t be concerned when fedgov tells industry where it can and where it can’t locate its plants. Ignore skyrocketing premiums for health insurance and deductibles so high you can never collect a dime from the insurance company (unless you get cancer).

Also, don’t peek under the corner of the rug. That’s where we store all the dead babies. And, if you’re white, well — heh, heh. All bets are off because you are an evil racist and supremacist. But forget we ever said that. Lastly, ignore the flood of low-educated, zero skill enemies of America from all over the world that we import. Because you middle-Americans aren’t going to vote for us any more, we need to import new voters.

Democrats are insane. That simply refuse to read the writing.

Democrats focusing on and actually following thru on jobs?

Since when?

They invented red-tape, increased tax rates on American firms, no tariffs on cheap foreign imports, and winked and nodded when large plants went elsewhere for their operations.

I like to think (probably incorrectly) that they lost because Nancy Pelosi said: "We have to pass the bill so you can find out what's in it." and "Are you serious? Are you SERIOUS?" when asked where in the Constitution justification for ACA could be found.

I know I'm wrong. But those statements really ticked me off.

For many recent election cycles, Americans' concerns have remained the same according to Gallup:

1. The economy (specifically, jobs)
2. Dissatisfaction and distrust of government
3. National Security

When Obama took office, he decided to focus on Obamacare. He extended the debt, hurt the economy, increased distrust of government, and ignored national security. McConnell, speaking for the GOP, made defeating Obama the main focus of his party. They thought giving Obama everything he wanted would work against him. In the end, the GOP didn't do much of anything.

Both parties lost and gave rise to Trump because they neglected the list and he didn't.

Ryan, 43, who is challenging Rep. Nancy Pelosi, 113, (D-Calif.) for her House Minority Leader position, said "a robust economic message that covers everybody" is the best prescription for Democrats' success in the future.

Ha!

What kind of "robust economic message" can be from a party that has succeeded in making business unviable and employees toxic?

.
