(CNN)An active shooter has been reported on the Ohio State University campus, according to the university's Department of Public Safety website.

Bomb squad being called to a location on high street. Reported plastic bag with duct tape, another location reporting a book bag.

Reporter did talk to student who reported gunfire,

However, just reported from hospital that 4 of eight victims do have gunshot wounds.

They oppose any attempt to allow real weapons to fight back on campus, but we are supposed to go up against an armed attacker with our fingernails.

Oh gracious. They are so wonderful. Each and every one of them. Competition shooting is a sport that gets little attention; and requires tons of practice to get to a skill level to bring home awards. OSU has a great program.

Not a cheap sport in which to paryicipate.

She is ok because she cut class but is in contact with her friends. Someone sent her pic of person on ground but I dont have e it. She said car ran into people. But she is getting it second hand

Initially started around 9:30 am, red SUV crashed into bldg, shooting started.

There was a shooting at a school in Arkansas were some students set up a firing position outside the school then pulled an alarm. Teachers led the kids out the emergency door, which closed and locked behind them, then the students opened fire with a lever action. The targets were trapped up against the building.
