At Edgewood College, police are investigating a post-it-note that was deemed a "hate crime" by college officials.
The post-it-note says "Suck it up, pussies!" Whoever wrote it also drew a winking, tongue-out smiley face, like this:

The message is evidently one student's response to the Madison, Wisconsin, college's overwhelming dejection following Donald Trump's election to the presidency.
College Vice President Tony Chambers sent a letter to campus condemning this "act of cowardly hatred" and "intimidation." He wrote:
A group of cross-functional college staff representing campus security, student conduct, human resources, Title IX enforcement, and diversity and inclusion measures convened Tuesday morning to discuss how to address the hateful message. This group determined that the message constituted a Hate Crime…
College officials informed the Madison police, and now the cops are investigating.

Nothing those lowlifes do/say surprises me, anymore. Dysfunctional academia has been the norm for decades. It won’t change anytime soon, either.

You should at least ask the applicant if he once wrote a 'mean' note on a post-it sticker back in late November of 2016. If he said yes, you might want to give him some consideration.
It is the end result of equating speech you don’t like with violence. It lets you justify sending the police or lynch mob after someone who disagrees with you or the politically correct truth.
The liberal totalitarians picked this up from Islam - contradicting or criticizing Islam or Muslims is a capital offense (Sjws still at death threat or mere assault level), all atrocities are acceptable in defense of the one true people, all sins permitted if it spreads or strengthens the ideology because its spread is the greatest good, and the open persecution of apostates who dare leave (if you are black or female but not liberal, you’re not really a tribe member and fair game for hate and assault).

It is bad enough that students are more concerned with safe spaces than learning, but “suck it up” is not a hate crime. To consider it such while libeling Trump and his supporters as racists, bigots, homophobes and “Nazis” is beyond hypocritical to despicable. I am aware that Universities are insular but you are clearly out of touch with reality. Heaven forbid a conservative student exist, much less be able to exercise his or her First Amendment rights. You, sir, are an abomination to the education system and to echo the post it note “Suck it up, pussy”.
Liberals tolerating the authoritarians in their midst are going to be the downfall of the ideology for a generation.

I would stand up, give my full name, and say, if you want to treat my peaceful free speech as a “hate crime”, then bring it on. I welcome the challenge. I welcome the indictment. I especially welcome discovery where I fully plan on finding every time that anyone on campus expressed true hatred of Christians or Conservatives and no charges were filed. I welcome the help of FIRE in fully advancing my legal rights, and I welcome the legal settlement that you are eventually going to offer me and my legal team.

If I had failed so miserably as a parent that one of my girls was so delicate, I would be ashamed of myself. For a boy to react like this, without a severe mental illness is absurd. Had Hillary won, I would have been worried and apprehensive about the likelihood of a nearly immediate civil war, but I would not have been curled up in a fetal position or needing Play-Doh in a safe room. These losers need to suck it up.
A sane college official would have snatched the note from the ‘designated table’, then thrown in the trash and said nothing about it.
