Jill Stein, the green partys candidate in the US presidential election, is due to formally file a motion for a recount in Wisconsin on Friday as her funding effort for counting the votes again in three states passed $4.9m.
As more money flooded in for her effort which aims to fund recounts in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, all states where Donald Trump narrowly beat Hillary Clinton she admitted she had no hard evidence of fraud but said the systems were vulnerable.
Her campaign team said it would formally file in Wisconsin before the 5pm ET deadline to do so; the recount motion deadlines for the other two states are next week.
The fundraising site explained that Steins campaign could not guarantee any of these states would have a recount. We can only pledge we will demand recounts in those states, the site said. If we raise more than whats needed, the surplus will also go toward election integrity efforts and to promote voting system reform.
Her effort has split liberals, with some energized by the potential to show defeated Democrat Clinton is the rightful election winner, and those who see Steins intervention as an expensive gimmick to promote the Green party.
On Friday, Stein said she was acting due to compelling evidence of voting anomalies and that data analysis had indicated significant discrepancies in vote totals that were released by state authorities.
We do not have a smoking gun, Stein told CNN. On the other hand, we have a system that invites hacking, tampering and malfeasance.

Hmmm
We also have regular machine money transfers pouring into her account from whoknowswhere.
How fast will they run away from this recount once it shows Democrats comitted voter fraud by these Soros machines?
Winner! Fleecing heartbroken voters with promises of an electoral do-over worked for Orly Taitz. Stein has taken it to a whole new level.
Think of what this much money and time and effort could do for whatever cause or people they claim to care about. It proves that their “issues” are not really their issues, otherwise they would manage to raise this much money and do their good deeds towards those ends. CAUGHT in their lies.
Money, money, money. Stein to enter 1% territory, the dream of every liberal politician regardless of success level.
Libs hate voting. Simply trying to have a judge declare HRC the winner. Of course they think we all gonna shrug and say ok. Cause a judge says so. While they ignore judges they don’t like
She — or, more accurately, the Green Party — would have standing if they are required to meet a minimum threshold to maintain a ballot position in the next election and they are in danger of losing it as a result of this election.
But she wasn’t close to the threshold in any state to my knowledge. Do you have statistics?
WHO is contributing all these funds. If one were to dig in a little, it would turn out to be another “popular front”, funded almost entirely by either the George Soros international, or the Clinton Crime Syndicate, neither one of which is a “charity” organization in the accepted meaning of the term.
Black Lives Matter was funded in a similar way, and most of the expense goes toward hiring the local or bussed-in rent-a-mobs made up of unemployed millennials and eternal university students.
Presently Stein has 30,980 for 1.1% in Wisconsin. What is the threshold?
I don’t. I just put it out there to show that she doesn’t have to demonstrate that she has a chance to WIN the election in order that have standing.
It raises the profile of the Green Party.
Hillary’s campaign is having nothing to do with their silly stunt.
Her argument basically amounts to I won 1% of the vote so I demand it be looked over again.
They should laugh her reps out of the WI SOS office and tell them to get a court order.
Oops, she’ll need to pay for that, too. And for what?
Trump has 306, needs 270. All three have 36 votes, the loss of 36 leaves Trump at 270 versus Hillary @ 232+36 268. She loses by a margin smaller than Gore but she loses. That is in the extraordinarily unlikely event that ALL three states agree and that the count in all three goes against the results - an outcome that is so statistically unlikely as to be a nullity. There is some deeper game at work here.
OK. By the way, Stein had 0.8% in Pennsylvania and 1.1% in Michigan.
Could voter fraud happened sometime between election day and today yo offest the count for Hillary?
There are many state I would like recounted that went Hillary, only if recounting can be done fairly.
