Gingrich: 'I can think of 20 other people' better suited for secretary of state than Romney
Fox News ^ | November 23, 2016

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich expressed skepticism Tuesday at reports that former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney was the frontrunner to be President-elect Donald Trump's secretary of state.

"I can think of 20 other people who would be more naturally compatible with the Trump vision of foreign policy," Gingrich told Fox News' "Tucker Carlson Tonight."

...Gingrich added that his preferred choices for secretary of state over Romney included former Arizona Sen. Jon Kyl, former U.N. ambassador John Bolton, former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani and former Hewlett-Packard CEO and Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina.

- - or - maybe it went like this: Romney has gotten screwed BIGLY by the CriminalClintoonCabal, in some way, along the way.

Romney went to Trump and said Boy! would I like an opportunity to get back at them, give me a chance.

So Romney was on fire to do this, and Trump said GET AT IT !

I like Gingrich BUT Mr. Trump was elected POTUS when the ENTIRE WORLD was against him, and YOU question HIM?

"Cons:History of changing positions on hot topics for political expediency.Motivation based on self interest. Demonstrated ill will and the use of false destructive rhetoric towards Trump agenda."

Great points, and add in a pre-disposition to subterfuge or even go rogue if it scores points for whoever Romney wants in the WH 2020. It ain't Trump, and it ain't Pence.

Also, the spectre of a Mormon trying to tell a Jew what they need to give up for a Pali treaty or an Iran rapprochement is just beyond the pale ... Just envision Bebe's face with the "oy gevalt" diagonal smirk ...

Romney as SOS. Seriously? If Trump picks for SoS, I’ll lose a lot of faith in Trump.

Romney has no business anywhere in government. Get him the heck outta here.

On the other hand, Romney does have excellent organizational skills, and would probably do a good job at the office.

That's an interesting point. Like you (I suspect), it doesn't make me gung ho for Romney as SOS, but, the State Dept. may well be the agency most thoroughly in need of a massive rebuild, immediately. Literally half of it should be sent packing...

I don’t understand why Trump thinks Romney is a person he has to consider. Romney wasn’t a foreign policy expert, he hasn’t run government agencies, of course he was a governor once.

But he also wasn’t supportive at all. And people who support trump don’t seem to support him.

But I expect Trump will do a lot of things that make little sense to his supporters, or match what he said he would do.

Newton is just mad that Mittens did not offer him the v.p. spot in 2012! Well, he may really in the words of JFK “be on to something” in his assessment of Mittens.

I don’t trust noot or Romney.

Noot is a docent of global tyranny, and Romney is a mormon, which is the same as a Freemason or Islamist.

Newt doesn't want to actually have a job.
He wants to freewheel as Trump's Official Oracle and use his supernatural insight to advise Trump as to what the future holds.

We do know one job The Newt can do blindfolded...

Now that she's unemployed, he can hang out with Nancy P. on some park bench and praise each other having saved the world from global whatever...

Mittens Rummy would bring nothing positive to the team.....and no respect to the Trump Administration internationally.....Why should Trump give Mittens the RINO any unearned prestige?

Trump has done this sort of thing before. He takes a person who is very opposed to him, and puts that person into a position where they can no longer criticize him without causing self harm. Trump ends up looking good, and so does the other guy. And the other guy is forced to keep his pie hole shut.

“Someone said Trump is thinking Rommey for Treasury. Is Romney a money guy? I might live with that.”

Hadn’t thought of that before but yeah, I could see that.
