I'll be deeply disappointed if they do not pursue prosecution. It sets a dreadful example and further undermines faith in our government if they don't hold everyone accountable for their actions equally.

Very misleading headline. Trump said that prosecution was NOT off the table. What he did say was that HE wasn’t going to pursue prosecution.

All Trump is saying is that he is not seeking prosecution of Hillary.

This doesn't mean he would prevent his AG from doing so if the AG thought the evidence demanded it.

This permits him to stay above the fray and devote his attention to his plans without getting blamed for a political witch hunt.

Right? The Clinton's will lie low for a spell, curtailing their foundation corruption until the heat dies down. Then they'll begin again using their D.C. influence to rake in hoards of $$$.

I understand Trump mending fences in order to be an effective executive, but turning his head to blatant criminality is unacceptable. I hope we're all reading this incorrectly.

Let’s see what happens after the inauguration. While Trump may have said he would not prosecute her over the email server issue (a smart move- throw Dems a bone, albeit a small one.), there is the matter of the Wikileaks/Podesta human trafficking & pederast ring that will bring them all down. They must first be beyond an Obama pardon.

Who says she’s off the hook? The more I think about it the more I think DT is playing it smart. Now if the new AG and congress says she’s off the hook that’s a different matter.

Ease up. It’s been two weeks. The electoral college hasn’t even voted yet, much less, he’s not even president yet. Obamas crowning the lesbian of the century. He’s not done yet. Pedestals talking about Hillary, they’re still bribing and threatening voters.

Whatever trump does with the complicated case of the clintons or Hillary will have been well thought out and well advised. That’s all

So much BS in this headline. Trump isn’t backing off anything regarding Cankles. The president doesn’t prosecute anyone. The AG does.

There’s a lot turmoil going on right now. Let’s get through December and January, have our man in office and then decide what to do with HER.
Trump does always play or show his cards at once ... sometimes he must be equivocal.

I'll re-post a message to Donald Trump that I posted here yesterday on this subject:

Your approach to dealing with Hillary Clinton's criminal conduct in your first 100 days in office will greatly influence my approach to filing tax returns for the rest of my life.

Having said that, we should all recognize that there isn't a chance in hell that Hillary Clinton could ever be prosecuted in a court of law over any of this. There's no way to carry out a criminal prosecution when the defendant has a right to mount a defense that includes the public disclosure of classified information.

But at the very least, all of Clinton's criminal dealings must be investigated and documented for the history books.

Two issues got him elected: enforcement of our immigration laws & border control, and ending DC corruption/Drain The Swamp. Actually these are two aspects of one issue: rule of law.

If within two weeks of being elected he walks away from 50% of his promises....

There was an investigation, Buttercups! What? You do not like the results?

You want to have PE Trump to interfere in the investigations that have taken place? What of the rule of law? Wasn’t there an FBI investigation into the server issue? The DOJ was involved. No grand jury was called. A decision made. This was the determination of a DOJ formed by a legitimately elected President. Elections have consequences, you know. Perhaps you should not elect leftist fascists for President.

Now, you want your PE Trump to be as evil and partisan as Obama?

There is still the Clinton Foundation investigation. Justice may yet be served.

Stop being fair weather friends & sunshine patriots! Trump will take an oath on 1/20/2017 to uphold the Constitution. The rule of law will be re-established. The law will prevail. The office of the President has no prosecutorial powers!!!!!!

Don’t be fools and ask Trump for verbal rhetoric which is meaningless other than to make you feel better.

I may be wrong, but I think he said he would not seek investigation on the e-mail server.

He may be “playing chess” again.

Plus, he knows better than to engage in too many battles at the same time.

He’s not even sworn in yet, and has LOTS and LOTS to do, most of which will include merciless attacks from the left, and the media. A good executive knows how to prioritize his work, taking care of the “A” list first.

There’s a lot more he needs to do to undo the Obama catastrophe, and now that Hillary has lost, she’s dropped to his “D” list of priorities.

There are plenty others with an eye on her.

Here is a theory that is rolling around in my mind. Just hear me out. What if Trump believes that if he talks about going hard against Hillary, it will encourage Obama to pardon her. Now, if he says he really isn't interested in going after her, Obama may think that there is no pressing need to pardon her. He doesn't like her all that much to begin with, and he would no doubt takes some heat for giving her a blanket pardon. If he felt that he didn't have to do it, he may just let it slide. Hillary, would then be in legal limbo for a couple of months. Not trusting either Obama or Trump, she would practically be BEGGING Obama to pardon her. This act of groveling would no doubt leak out, showing clearly Hillary is fully cognizant of her own guilt.

Anyway, Trump is trying to not force Obama's hand, which frees up his options against Hillary when he becomes president. At some point, a Trump Justice Department would find 'new' evidence, and pursue a case against her, without the barrier caused by an Obama pardon.

Trump says that she has been through enough?

Whenever little people commit crimes, their lives are destroyed, they are incarcerated, their families are devastated.

That's what should happen to the elites also.
The totality of the recklessness, enrichment, corruption, etc., that she is accused of certainly outweighs a habitual bank robber or tax evasion rap.
