Mom aint the cook in the family, Me and the brothers are.
Mmmm....Thanksgiving leftovers are the best! And I’m glad you are having family time now!
I would normally be doing the dressing bread and pies tonight while that turkey defrosts.
Its just timing
You Love the Family |
You are sentimental, and your emotions are very deep. You like remembering old times and making new memories. You look forward to Thanksgiving every year because it's one of the few times the whole family is together. You love catching up with everyone and simply just being together. There's no substitute for family. |
Off to bed gang, no sense chipping at overflowed pies in the AM
Howdy do, Conor, *Hugz*
Gearing up for a nice Thanksgiving with your family?
Well, I’ll bet they’re looking forward to your visit, then! :)
When do you leave...if I might ask....
Howdy, PRO.
Feeling a bit better today? I hope so!

Oh and...WOO-HOO #50!
it sure is! I had to spend my time last week with the kids far away. Then they’re moving even farther away soon. Geez! Can’t catch a break with them! LOL!
Will there be a dinner at the VFW for those who don’t have family nearby?
I do not know how it happened but my younger brother was a redneck through-and-through. He lived in Houston for a few years. When he first moved here I thought that I should take him to a fine restaurant to show him that there were better things in life than redneckery.
I took him to what was at the time the finest restaurant in Houston named, "The Brownstone". It was so exclusive that if you did not make a reservation you could not get in.
We were seated at the bar by the hostess. We ordered a before-dinner drink. The waiter came to the table to seat us at our table.
We sat at the table and at the time both of us smoked. As soon as an ash got into the ashtray there was a waiter to wipe it clean.
We had an appetizer, salad and I ordered the melt-in-your-mouth Chateaubriand.
After dinner they brought around the dessert cart. I thought that that might impress him but he did not seem to care.
We ordered an after dinner drink and coffee.
Here is the killer: While we were sipping our after-dinner drink and coffee I asked him, "Well, what do you think?"
His very matter-of-fact response: Well, it was good but I just as soon be at home eatin' a baloney, ( His pronunciation, not mine, ) sandwich."
At that point I threw up my hands and told myself that it was useless. He would forever be a redneck!
You Love Relaxation |
You like to be lazy, and you don't mind just hanging out on the couch for most of the day. You're not the type to cook a big Thanksgiving dinner, but that doesn't mean you don't appreciate one. You wish every day could be centered around good food, good company, and good entertainment. |
Sounds like a nice day planned.
Is this a large gathering? The more, the merrier they say. :-)
YAY! Glad to hear you feel better.
Still nippy up there?
ROFL!! Can take the brother away from the redneckery....but....
Relaxing is my favorite pastime on holidays, too! That’s why we go out to eat. LOL! No dishes for this babe! ;) Or days of cooking. Ugh!
