Donald Trump‘s meeting with the New York Times Tuesday is suddenly back on again after being just as suddenly cancelled.
Before 7 a.m. Trump was on Twitter bashing the “failing” newspaper (which is not failing), and announcing that he was calling off their meeting because they had attempted to change the terms of the meeting.
“Not nice,” the president-elect groused.
The Times denied that it had ever changed or attempted to change the ground rules for the meeting, saying that the paper had agreed to a small off-the-record portion of a larger conversation with columnists and reporters, which would be on the record. The Times also said that they only heard about the meeting’s cancellation from Trump’s early-morning angry tweet.
Shortly before 10 a.m. CNN’s Brian Stelter reported that Trump press secretary Hope Hicks told him the meeting was back on.
On Monday Trump met off the record yesterday with anchors and representatives from CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox News. Reportedly, the president-elect used the meeting to criticize them for their coverage of him. “It was like a ******* firing squad,” a source told the New York Post.
And this is why the media needs to be smashed with a nuclear hammer. Instead of reporting what was said, they insist on injecting their own opinions into the news stream. It is entirely a matter of opinion as to whether or not the New York Times is failing, and from the data i've been seeing, it is. Contradicting the person whom you are covering as "news" is not within the proper behavior of a "journalist."
It's not their job to contradict the opinion of a News Maker, even if it's wrong.
And the second is sometimes there isn’t a solution agreeable to both parties. See rule 1.
Pinch and the Slimes should go get bent. Trump doesn’t need to grovel to the drive-by media. He can do end runs around those fools by doing Facebook Live events, Youtube and Right Side Broadcasting.

And their profit margins saw a 97% loss in the previous quarter.
Oh c’mon, they ONLY lost $14 million, as reported in the first quarter of 2016...
The Slimes is failing so much that their stock price is lower than an annual subscription price to that bird cage liner.
“It came out a couple weeks ago the NYSlimes bottom line was down 95% for the quarter.”
This story is repeated year after year and yet somehow they stay in business. I guess they have yet to run through Carlos Slim’s $250 million. I’m waiting for the day when Pinch Sultzberger’s “trust fund” relatives take him out for pi$$ing away their inheritances.
Remember how the ignorant Bushes did not know how to handle the media. So bad that George just quit responding.
Contrast to Trump who calls a meeting to tell them they are liars.
Trump is HEALTHY.
Bullies should be handled assertively, honestly to their face. Trump does that to the media.
Bushes are dysfunctional. Lawyer politicians are followers and cowardly.
Trump is healthy. We need 100 documentors to write the deatailed story how Trunp handles himself so future conservatives have a handbook.

I also remember during his campaign how he called a meeting with the press to talk with them directly about whether or not Obama was born in the USA or not.
He kept them waiting for like an hour while one military hero after another got before the mic to declare their support for him. Then finally Trump gets before them and says “Obama was born in the USA Period”.
They were so pissed. They had been played. He turned the expected scandal and intrigue into a campaign commercial. He trolled them out and let the whole thing fall on their heads.
