Got a phone survey yesterday. Mostly asked questions about the language that will probably be on the upcoming election ballot to describe each candidate, emphasis on Los Angeles Unified School Board candidates.
The person apologized for the call for an election that is five months in the future. Asked probing questions, without asking me outright, as to whether or not I was a dem or gop. "How would you rate President Obama's job performance?" and then, "How would you say Donald Trump will perform as President?" But the zinger, was the buried Trump note, within a series of questions about the description of each candidate. Here is the Trump question:
"What is the likelihood for you to vote for a candidate for the school board who describes themselves in this way...?
He or she will oppose efforts of the Trump administration to break up families and deport LAUSD students"...!!!
Answer:
Very Likely Somewhat Likely Neutral Somewhat Unlikely Very Unlikely
The phone survey was yesterday, 12 days after the election. That's a fantastically fast turn around time to start polling people on how they will vote and how favorably they react to descriptions of a candidate on a ballot.
Trump is scaring the pants off the Teacher's Unions and LAUSD. Again, even the person asking me all these questions was apologetic because the whole thing was so obviously about putting fear in people about PE Trump!
“Odd” that these school board elections in different states are held outside of the regular local/state/federal balloting. How very queer.
It’s as if they don’t want people to show up at the polls.
You betcha. Calicommies know politics = local.
Hmmm. Sounds like it’s planned that way. We all need to become more actively involved in local school board politics.
I do surveys for a few bucks sometimes for colleges in NYC (yeah, I know)
They were all just basically hit pieces on trump before the election.
But it cost a LOT of money to pay so many people to take these “surveys”.
I’d like to know who was footing the bill.
One “survey” was ONLY the entire video of Trump’s videotape on the bus. They wanted to scan my face for reaction for some extra bucks, I died laughing the whole time.
It’s even more harmless when you actually see and hear it.
There are 30 governors who can go Scott Walker against the teacher’s unions now. Time to push the states.
IN every state on every issue we have to be out front pushing the agenda. DEms are great at getting back up after being hit while too many on our side just want to avoid conflict and appease DEMS.
The people have to support Trump as long as he sticks to the contract. He can lead an effort to really roll back the liberal excesses if we make them spend money to defend their failed policies.
This reminds me of one election in my town that was just one question: Raise or nor raise the pay of the teachers. Yes or No?
The election was not given a lot of publicity & it was a very poor turn out. I voted no and then drove around town to see polling places set up on High School campuses with lines of teachers waiting to vote themselves a pay raise after school was done for the day. ALL the teachers knew about the election of course!
It passed. Grrrrrr!
I would have answered that I don’t want families to be broken up, I want them to go back to their home countries intact.
That was very likely a poll paid for and by a financial backer or a potential candidate sorting out issues and public opinion ahead of the race.
LOL on the bus video.
What no one ever says is that it was basically Trump confessing he knew this behavior was wrong but because of his celebrity status, he was amazed people let him get away with it. (Or not, as the tape proved years later...!)
In any case, the bus video proved Trump is NOT a sociopath (like some Clintons we know)...
All you could say is if you would be likely or unlikely to vote for a candidate who described himself in this way about opposing Trump deporting breaking up families...
Agreed. Even in blue Cali.
Grrr... and I love (good) teachers!
Thanks for posting!
bttt
They are trying to get their lies in order.
Question: Could Trump do away with the Dept of Ed by simply not appointing a secretary and leaving it out of the budget?
Another gift with the election of Trump:
The country & Congress will actually GET a budget.
Obama did NOT provide a budget every year-—the Congress was forced to vote for ‘Continuing Resolutions’.....
