LIMA, Peru (AP) — President Barack Obama said Sunday he doesn't intend to become his successor's constant critic — but reserved the right to speak out if President-elect Donald Trump or his policies breach certain "values or ideals."
Offering a rare glimpse into his thoughts on his post-presidency, Obama suggested once he was out of office he would uphold the tradition of ex-presidents stepping aside quietly to allow their successors space to govern.

That is a big problem as this election in particular but the politics of the last 30-40years has shown,there is no unifying US.

I read this a.m. somewhere that the Democrats want to vet all of President Trump’s appointments before his Inauguration. Well, before they do that, how about vetting our current President before he leaves office. It has never been done.
Watch for this ... the media will be want to continue to refer to him as President Obama, which is normally done when making a casual reference to an ex-president, but ONLY when it doesn’t involve the current president.
So we’re going to read a lot of reports like:
President Obama today criticized President Trump ....
And to push back on this I propose that whenever someone from our side corrects this, we say Obama should be referred to as the “President Reject”.
Your comment is so true - he will have essentially no legacy whatsoever, especially if Trump manages to get Dodd Frank and 0bamacare repealed. Except of course the legacy of the Middle East being inflamed, the longest period of weak economic growth probably in US history, and the misery and fear that he inflicted on all of us for 8 years. Under the Trump scheme, and as a business man, he will expect a ^provable^ ROI on EACH AND EVERY expenditure; be it foreign aid or internal spending...right down to the salaries paid to DC staff across all branches of government: bang for the buck!
This, I believe, is what all the bureaucratic wonks in DC are afraid of concerning his “drain the swamp” theme.
