We all make choices in life, some of them are dumber than others. This former CEO however, takes the cake. He is likely not going to get too much sympathy from anyone other than George Soros or the underbelly of the Democrat Party…
The former CEO of a local cybersecurity firm is talking first to 10News – about his threat to shoot President-elect Donald Trump.
Team 10 Investigator Allison Ash sat down with Matt Harrigan Tuesday afternoon. He tells Allison he’s been getting death threats since the posts went viral and he and his family have relocated until the storm settles.
Harrigan was the CEO of PacketSled until he resigned his position Tuesday morning. He said he’s sorry for his words, and he wants his side of the story told.
Harrigan wrote the series of Facebook posts on election night. They were words that he thought only his friends would see. He wrote, “I’m going to kill the president. elect” and “Bring it, secret service.” He even mentioned getting a sniper rifle and targeting the White House once Donald Trump was living there.
Harrigan said his Facebook friends shared the post on Twitter and that’s how it went viral. He says, he’s ashamed of what he wrote.
“I’m incredibly apologetic, for that. I don’t know,” Harrigan said. “It was [a] very, very dumb thing to do, and I regret it very much… and I would take it back if I could.”
Harrigan said he was drunk when he wrote the “absurd comments” on election night before Donald Trump won the election. He said most of his friends knew he was just being “over the top” with his “distasteful joke”.
At least one of those friends wasn’t amused, sharing the disturbing messages outside their circle of Facebook friends. “It started to trend very, very quickly and started spiraling and I was blown away,” Harrigan admitted
The Secret Service spent two hours interviewing Harrigan inside his Del Mar home. They did not say whether criminal charged would be filed against the married father of two.
Harrigan said his family has been forced out of their home by death threats from people unhappy with his remarks. Although he said the threats he made against Donald Trump were “a joke”, he is taking the threats against his family seriously. –ABC 10 News

We've all threatened to assassinate presidents when we've been drinking, eh? I mean, it was just the liquor talking. Arrest the bottle! Arrest the distiller and/or brewer! Arrest the delivery dude and the guy who printed the label! It wasn't Matt's fault. that evil demon juice made him do it!

You know what, the guy really screwed up. He thought he was being funny. This is something that you are not allowed to be funny about.
The Secret Service doesn’t know him from the Son of Sam. What you write is what you write, and they have to check it out.
Other citizens who support Trump don’t see the humor in this at all. They respected the man and don’t want folks kidding about killing him.
This guy had a responsibility to his wife, children, and financial obligations. Now all that is in jeopardy.
If my wife had said some things like this, I would look at her differently. “Holy Cow, where did that come from????” This guy’s wife may too.
In what world did this guy think this would fly, even among friends? “I’m going to kill Trump!”, and then he goes into details.
I don’t like to see a guy and his family go through this, but I have seldom seen poorer judgment.
Good luck with that job hunt fella. There’s not a whole lot of place where you can apply with this on your record.

It doesn’t take a genius to know that threats against the life of a president will not be taken lightly. You’d expect a CEO would practice common sense but he threw that out the window because he had a major case of butthurt. I feel bad for his family....they shouldn’t have to suffer because the father is gigantic a$$hole!
Still could get interesting........I see Obama is still pimping rioters. This Manchurian Candidate should have been removed for treason long, long ago.

Wife and two children must be SO proud of papa. He’s radioactive now — no business in its right mind will touch him. How long before wife and kids are gone, house sold, car repossessed, and he’s shooting needles down on skid row?
Frankly, couldn’t happen to a more deserving guy.
Maybe he can snag one of those Soros jobs on Craig’s List to protest Trump for $15 an hour.
BTW, and perhaps not coincidentally South Korea(?) is investigating a leader for treason, too. Saw it on OAN.
