The US vice-president elect, Mike Pence, was booed by a theater audience when he attended the hit hip-hop musical Hamilton in New York on Friday night – and then had a message about protecting diversity delivered to him from the stage after the curtain call.
On Saturday, President-elect Donald Trump accused theatre-goers of having “harassed” Pence, writing on Twitter: “Our wonderful future V.P. Mike Pence was harassed last night at the theater by the cast of Hamilton, cameras blazing.This should not happen!”
He also demanded an apology: “The Theater must always be a safe and special place.The cast of Hamilton was very rude last night to a very good man, Mike Pence. Apologize!”

It’s a hit show, the scalpers and ticket agents bought up all the seats and sell them at ridiculously high prices. He was nuts to pay that. I assumed it was a courtesy ticket to the incoming Veep.
Republican politicians need to avoid B’way. I could have told him that.
My guess... that it was about at least SOMETHING from the founding days, so even if it was in a hive of lefties, there was something Mike thought might be worth it.
Well one does not throw pearls before swine. Now that Mike has heard the “OINK” he can know more about where to go in future.
The cast lectured Pence on diversity? How politically diverse and accepting of conservative thought is the cast of Hamilton? Probably about as politically diverse as the faculty on the typical college campus. Such hypocrites.
If the tables were turned, the IRS and ICE would already be examining the entire cast’s and theater employees taxes and immigration status.
It was a pricey thing ... $700? Or was that just for an elite seat?
That is almost the lowest price seating in the orchestra section. I wanted to know more about Alexander Hamilton and looked at tickets last night, through next Sept/Oct, Orch center $850+, sides and behind row P ~$600. I passed! So glad I did. The reporting is inaccurate. The audience clapped for Pence with scattered boos; as Trump said it was the cast that was churlish.
This same cast would never tolerate what they did to Pence if another cast lectured Obama in the same condescending manner.
There rules are always different for fringe lunatic liberals.

Apology? Pence paid for a ticket to see a play, not to be an object of disrespect. Sue the theater company for a cool few million. Apparently they are coining it.

I can’t see for a moment why minorities feel unporotected. Its all just made up. They have lost their Utopia,where white privilege was to be destroyed ( no jobs for the middle class) and can’t get over it.

If that represents the typical audience, it seems like it is going to be a lot thinner in future. So it wasn’t completely for naught. That’s what I admire about how the good Lord has set up Donald. Even his mistakes result in some profit.

I agree. I think his response was fine, but should be the limit of his comments on the subject. There is nothing to be gained by getting in a pissing match with these asshats.
Anyone know about how Secret Service fits into all of this..as in do they get to see it for free but they have to stand? Or does the government have to pay for their seats?
