I’m Already Sick of the Liberal Tantrum Over Trump
Townhall.com ^ | November 18, 2016 | John Hawkins

Even though I was #nevertrump, I’m already so sick of listening to liberals whine about Trump that I’m tempted to throw on a “Make America Great Again” hat for no other reason than just to piss them off. You’re upset about Trump winning? Well, guess what? Conservatives were upset about Obama winning twice. Welcome to the party, pal.

Oh, but liberals are special snowflakes whose feelings are more important than those of regular people. They need safe spaces, blankies and pacifiers to cope with trauma and they’re getting them at colleges across America. Therapy dogs were offered to traumatized students at the University of Kansas. Virginia Tech’s HokiePRIDE group posted national suicide hotline numbers. Liberal students are demanding “separate but equal” facilities for black students at the University of Michigan….yes, seriously. So, we have liberals DEMANDING SEGREGATION, but they’re still calling everyone else racist.

You want an example of that? Here’s what hateful liberal George Takei wrote on Twitter, “Michael Flynn, Jeff Sessions, Steve Bannon. Islamophobe, Racist, Anti-Semite. This isn't a cabinet. It's a KKKabinet.” A liberal claiming everyone he doesn’t like is racist? Wow, how fresh and original! Of course, we all know that if John McCain, Mitt Romney or even Jeb Bush were President today, people like George Takei would be saying EXACTLY THE SAME THING. Mitt could have appointed all Mormon choir boys and the Left would still be painting them as David Duke. Speaking of David Duke, have you ever noticed that since he’s a pariah in the Republican Party, any and all influence he has is generated by liberal outlets writing about what he says? Along similar lines, liberals seem to have concluded that Trump’s victory is all about racism. Here are just a tiny smattering of headlines from liberal websites pushing exactly that theme.

Trump's win is a reminder of the incredible, unbeatable power of racism

There's No Such Thing as a Good Trump Voter

This Election Has Completely Debunked The Myth Of A ‘Post-Racial’ America

White flight from reality: Inside the racist panic that fueled Donald Trump’s victory

How rational is it to assume that the people in a country that voted for a black President twice suddenly decided Trump is a bigot and they like it? Especially since the share of minority voters Trump received WENT UP from the numbers that Romney got? How about the fact that, “Of the nearly 700 counties that twice sent Obama to the White House, a stunning one-third flipped to support Trump. Trump also won 194 of the 207 counties that voted for Obama either in 2008 or 2012.” Even Kanye West came out and said he would have voted for Trump if he had bothered to vote. Does that make him a white supremacist? I really don’t get that vibe from him.

It may not make sense to assume that the country voted for Trump because of racism, but there is one great thing about it from the liberal perspective: it implies that the problem isn’t you. It’s not you tediously smearing everyone who doesn’t agree with you. It’s not Obama losing the war in Afghanistan and Iraq while cutting a deal that will allow Iran to get nuclear weapons. It’s not forcing gay marriage on a country that mostly didn’t want it and demanding that mentally ill men be allowed to use bathrooms with little girls. It’s not the complete liberal indifference to the size of the debt or the incessant lying that liberal politicians like Obama, Hillary and Harry Reid engage in. It’s not the failure to secure the border, Obama suing the Little Sisters or the poor or Hillary’s disgusting, “I’m a woman, so you have to vote for me” campaign. No, the problem is that everyone is racist….except Lena Dunham, Cher, you and your liberal pals.

Just consider Obamacare as a standalone issue.

The critics of Obamacare turned out to be almost entirely right about Obamacare while few of the promises Barack Obama made about the program turned out to be true. It was passed with no Republican votes, the rollout was a disaster and it was NEVER popular. Yet and still, liberals seem to think the program is the greatest thing since sliced bread because it covers more people. Meanwhile, a much larger group of Americans have seen their health care costs take off like a rocket. Let me give you an example. I was talking to a non-political friend of mine who was initially a little excited about Obamacare because she qualified for a subsidy the first year. However, after she started making slightly more and didn’t qualify, she became horrified at how expensive her insurance payments became. She was told that if she wants the same plan this year, it will be $380 a month, which she can’t afford. She voted for Trump. When liberals write off people like her as racists, it’s a way of absolving themselves from all the problems they’ve created in the country and in people’s lives over the last eight years.

Let me add that if you want to have a pointless protest swollen with people you hired from Craigslist, could you at least avoid rioting and stay out of the street so that you don’t block traffic? Is that asking too much? Oh…..because your feelings are hurt that the rest of the country picked someone you didn’t like, throwing a brick through a window or blocking traffic is okay. Right? Wrong.

Your incessant attacks on white people for the color of their skin are fine, but people voting for a candidate you don’t like must be racist. Every time there’s a fight provoked at a Trump rally by a Democratic operative, you think the black night of fascism is descending on America, but you turn a blind eye to people being beaten for wearing a MAGA hat. You think it’s okay for celebrities and CEOs to say things like,

“Letting trump take office means burying democracy. Letting him take it without the popular vote means burying it alive.”Jos Whedon

“Our country hates Jews, muslims, women, black people, LGBTQ, and women. That's the only takeaway from tonight.” -- Timothy Simons from Veep

“Further I absolutely reject the nationalist, anti-immigrant and hateful politics of Donald Trump and will work to shield our community from this movement as best as I can. As we all try to understand what this vote means to us, I want to affirm to anyone on our team that is scared or feels personally exposed, that I and everyone else here at Grubhub will fight for your dignity and your right to make a better life for yourself and your family here in the United States. If you do not agree with this statement then please reply to this email with your resignation because you have no place here.” – Grubhub CEO Matt Maloney

You think this is such a racist country? You think it’s such a rotten place? You’re getting on your high horse about Trump when you were supporting HILLARY @#$%^!* Clinton? Then go to Canada. Have your Calexit. If only we could FORCE California to leave the United States. If that’s your attitude, then the country would be better off without you.

I am enjoying every minute of the Great Liberal Meltdown of 2016. I can’t get enough of watching liberals heads explode or lapping up their tears.

This is all music to my ears. I don’t like watching paid agitators riot and damage cities, but at least the cities they are destroying are all cities that voted for Hillary Clinton. The irony is precious.

The Left’s tantrums clearly show how little respect they have for democracy. They just want what they want and have no respect for the will of the people. They will tear the system down to get their way.

I agree. There is no reasoning or reconciliation with the Left. They do not respect or tolerate the rights of others.

We need to ignore their nonsense and treat them like the spoiled children they are.

Since when did I — or anyone else I know — try to force a NeverTrumper or a Democrat to vote other than how they did?

I merely noted, that as he is sick of the Democrat screeching so quickly after Trump’s victory, as was sick of the NeverTrumpers’ screeching.

If CA leaves the union, it’s no longer protected by USA military.

Then the rural (food producing) areas can drop out of the new independent “country” and rejoin the rest of America, leaving the floating scum unprotected by US military while USA protects the good part.

When California secedes, Zorro will rise again from the center and NuevoCalifornia will emerge from the interior. The coastal riffraff will be forced to go it alone

“...and cops start arresting them in droves...”

That is certainly a delightful prospect.

:-)

We have reason to hope, I saw an article just a half hour ago that someone in congress has already introduced a bill to make it illegal to harm people and disrupt business in these protests.

Demonstrating why Article five will not change anything. There are already laws on the books that address these thugs, just enforce them.

The wall will make a few jobs available but it will change nothing unless we enforce the current immigration law.

LIBs are truly hopeless. They should be ridiculed, shunned and ignored. What absolute losers. They are all malignancies on all and any civilization. They must be crushed into irrelevance. Never quit destroying them. No quarter to these complete idiots.

Besides you can not force anyone to vote someone for a certain person. To do so looks to me like dictatorship. We are a free country.

What does that mean?

They’re also researching homelessness stories to blame on him the day of his inauguration.

“..no quarter to these complete idiots...”

They’ve been behaving like the adolescent punks they are and have been, be they fifteen or fifty-five years old.

They will never grow up, will always be self-centered, whining individuals with a brain and a college degree but no steeping in responsibility or recognition of others who surround them while remaining loaded to the gills with contempt for others.

As they say, the wheels of justice grind exceedingly slow, but grind they do. Maybe some of what they’ve sown will soon catch up to them.

IMHO

I am sick of it too. I have been confronting these “liberal/progressive” thugs on the street since 1970, as an individual, as a volunteer parade marshal, as a National Guardsman, as a counter-demonstrator, as a Freeper.

The alleged issue may change, the language, the tactics, sometimes even the individuals involved remain the same.

I'm tired of it. I'm too old for street fighting. And you know what they say: “don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to fight, he will just kill you.” Well, I'm not wanting to kill anyone (unless they directly threaten me and mine); but it is time to kill this idea that the Left can take to the streets, commit any acts of violence they wish, and do it with impunity, anytime they don't get their way.

Takaei showed that well during Clintons terms, as he came out in more than one sense.
