Since Nov. 9, Donald Trump has been described as our “President-elect.” But many would be shocked to learn that this term is actually legally meaningless. The Constitution sets out a specific hurdle for Trump to ascend to the presidency. And that will not happen until Dec. 19 when the members of the Electoral College meet in their respective states to vote for the President.
It’s these electors who actually hold power under the Constitution to select Donald Trump as president. They should take that responsibility very seriously. They owe it to all Americans to deliberate on their choice in the manner required by the Constitution.

Wow, talk about revisionist history! I think I can say with near-absolute certainty that, when our forefathers created the electoral college, most of them never envisioned the American left of 2016.
Agreed. Just replied on another thread that during the election most Democratic Propaganda Ministry fake news required switching Trump with HRC and vice versa to make sense.

Here's what is at play: Signer is desperate for a strategy to prevent the electoral college from doing its duty, so . . . Signer is using the words of founding fathers to appeal to Trump's electors in the college hoping they will, somehow, believe Hamilton and others would really like to see Clinton elected because she best would preserve the ideas of the founding fathers. Signer does not believe this; he hopes electors might.

Now, based on the asinine advocates of anarchy’s actions... if I was a (D) elector in a state that illary won narrowly, come Dec 19th, I just might be tempted to go rogue and flip it to President-Elect Trump.
Then after Jan 20th, change my registration from (D) to (R).
(And I would have a bug-out plan...)

The electoral college was created so that the 85% of the counties in the US are not disenfranchised by 10 population centers.
The left has shown itself repeatedly in the last week and a half to be anti-democratic and contemptuous of regular Americans. Beyond that, it takes an extraordinary amount of hubris and lack of self-awareness for anyone in the press to call someone else a “demagogue,” when the press has made it a top priority to demagogue, propagandize, and deceive about Trump and the political scene in general, as well as to stir up violent riots and attacks against Trump supporters.

I’d say it’s over a 99.9% chance it will not work. Remember Trump’s electors are all Republicans, and he has a very large lead. There is no way 37 electors are going to flip against the will of the voters.
I kind of hope it DOES work, because then we’ll solve the liberal problem in America for another 200 years in the resulting conflagration. :)
When I was in high school in the 60s (back when students were taught something besides self-esteem and trigger words), my English teacher told us we could not use Time magazine as a reference source for our term papers because it was considered too biased and not factual enough for a research paper.
Looks like nothing has changed.
