He will serve in an unofficial capacity as an adviser to the President.

And that’s why I admired him but did not support him for the job.

“I think he needs to be out working with the Black community getting them off the Democrat plantation.”

I agree - and working, perhaps state by state, in moving education local would be a very good spot for him.

He said that he doesn’t have experience running a bureaucracy and wants to help.

Totally agree .... thank you, Dr. Ben for knowing that you’d be in over your head. I suspect Trump will find a way for Carson to make contributions without saddling him with the mess that is HHS. As for Surgeon General, Dr. Ben is better than that position .... and why do we even need it?

I had hoped he would be secretary of education, and undertake to introduce the revival of proper civics education K-12.

I agree with him. He’s no doubt an extremely intelligent and honorable man. However, he has no experience with managing a giant bureaucracy, let alone a government bureaucracy. I have a feeling it wouldn’t suit his personality very well, either.

Hopefully, he and the Trump people can find something that he likes and will suit his temperament and skills better. Maybe something with cleaning up CDC?

Dr. Carson will be Trump’s conduit and sounding board to resolving resolving inner city issues.

Dr. Carson should accept the appointment to EDUCATION where he can influence CURRICULUM. He is calming and likes to speak in terms of common sense and deplores what is happening in public schools and academia, on campus.

With no children of his own, he may long to be of encouragement.

Why in the heck did he think he could be president then if he couldn’t run a dept. Probably better suited on the outside, at least he is honest

I think Dr. Carson wanted to be Secretary of Education.

I suspect this is where Newt may be plugged in, and/or it may be a department which is destined for dismantle.

Why does Carson need a “business manager” to speak for him?

"He said that he doesn’t have experience running a bureaucracy and wants to help."

That was one of the biggest reasons Carson was nowhere near qualified to be President.

Trump is used to running his own organization, but it's a large organization with an estimated 34,000 employees. And while not a bureacracy, a for profit business gives better decision making experience.

I don’t even think the Surgeon General does that much. More of a titular position for advocacy.

This is bad. And I can only assume Armstrong Williams nixed it because he wasn’t going to get a “finders fee” of a million dollars or whatever he demanded. Williams is a crook, plain and simple
