Gun stocks have plunged since the election of Donald Trump. What happened? Trump was endorsed by the National Rifle Association and was the clear favorite of white, rural, gun-loving America. But the stock prices for Sturm, Ruger (RGR) and Smith & Wesson (SWHC) have both dropped by more than 20% since Trump won. The problem is that gun lovers are losing their biggest boogeyman: Hillary Clinton, who would have continued President Barack Obama's pursuit of gun control legislation. She was so reviled by the industry that Ruger CEO Michael Fifer described her in August as "actively campaigning against the lawful commerce in arms." At the same time, his company reported a 19% spike in quarterly sales, fueled by

That’s the one. :)
They’ll come back up. When the libbies realize they are the only ones without guns, there will be another run on them.
I don’t know. I prefer to buy what I can find in person, and with cash. The guys in the family worry about all the other calibers, I worry about the .22s which we use most often.
So does this mean I can buy 22 LR ammo again for a fair price?
I’m pretty sure my husband and sons could build one.
I’m watching for prices to drop so I can get my Christmas present, a CZ 455 22LR with 28 inch barrel.
I think an agency by agency inventory should be taken first thing. That ammo may have not really been for the agencies but illegally laundered out of the country.
The market has not yet taken into account that with a Trump win, the continuation of litigation protection for firearms manufacturers and dealers will remain in place.
A Hillary won might have meant more sales, but when she eliminated the lawsuit protection and thousands of lawsuits were launched, including entities like City of Chicago as plaintiffs under Hillary appointed Federal judges, those firearms companies would have tanked.
As it is, we now have a gun friendly, business friendly environment which should mean consistent, solid growth.
2 of mine are C&R. They both have a hammer and sickle on them. Eventually I’d like to get a nagant revolver and a makarov to round out the set. My Mosin was made in 1943 so it is virtually guaranteed to have removed some nazis from the motherland. I like historical guns.

Record gun sales is Obama’s legacy.
Me too.
Geez I hate to upstage you some more. I bought three Nagant revolvers in 2004 when they were $85 a pop. Same year I scored a Mosin Nagant sniper with all the correct numbers including the PU scope. Cost was half the mockup they used in “Enemy at the Gates”.
My Makarov I bought in 1989, the Chicom version. Rule of thumb with Chicom stuff: the first year of issue is the best quality. It’s far better than Soviet.
Now...go to gunbroker.com and find you a nice Polish P-64 pistol in 9mm Mak for $250. I promise you will not be disappointed. Each one is marked with the year made & the quality rivals Walthers. I’ve fired mine & it’s a handful, not only recoils but twists in the hand as it catches the rifling.
The Serbian version of the TT-30 is also a good choice in commie chic especially the short bbl 9mm version. Check out the Yugo SKS too, best quality of all the SKS series.
Commie stuff are the weapons of the masses. Not how the commies themselves wanted it, but hey, enjoy & things are only going to improve under our new President.
Not Ruger!!!!
I rather like my Russian 1952 Tula-made.
All matching serial numbers too.
She's a honey, she is.
as should all of us in CA. ammo will skyrocket with this background check bs.
Already have the TT. Looking for an East German or Russian mak. I’ve heard the Bulgarian maks are nice too.

And once Trump is done with us, we’ll all be wearing gold plated diapers!
I had to steam clean my Yugo’s furniture to get out the cosmoline. It’s a Frankenstein with maybe two matching parts.
Took it to the range Wednesday and it shoots great.
My Yugo was all matching but only after I worked it over for days with a grille brush & paint thinner to get all the cosmoline off.
That grenade spigot actually makes it point better. Love it.
