Trump Names Steve Bannon as White House Chief Strategist and Reince Priebus as Chief of Staff

Bannon responded to the position, saying, “I want to thank President-elect Trump for the opportunity to work with Reince in driving the agenda of the Trump Administration.”

“We had a very successful partnership on the campaign, one that led to victory,” Bannon added. “We will have that same partnership in working to help President-elect Trump achieve his agenda.”

“It is truly an honor to join President-elect Trump in the White House as his Chief of Staff,” Priebus stated of the annoucement. “I am very grateful to the President-elect for this opportunity to serve him and this nation as we work to create an economy that works for everyone, secure our borders, repeal and replace Obamacare and destroy radical Islamic terrorism. He will be a great President for all Americans.”

I like Beck too. Admittedly he go off on tangents at times and can be sophomoric still I like his program. Heck I like all of SiriusXM Patriot.

I have to say that I really, really like this. Bannon helped Trump focus his message, Conway helped Trump develop the strategy to get his message out, and Priebus helped Trump utilize the GOP network to put the campaign strategy into action.

Now, Trump is bringing the same dynamics with him to Washington, D.C. The main fear that conservatives have of Trump is that he will "moderate" or water down his campaign promises. The reasons we fear this is because we have been burned so many times before by politicians who campaign as conservatives but govern as mushy moderates because they are trying to be politically correct, popular or are beholden to donors. The other reason some fear Trump going back on his campaign promises is because of his previously held liberal positions as a businessman. Bannon is as an uncompromising, hard-core conservative as you can get. Both Bannon and Trump are outsiders, and they aren't coming to DC to make friends. They are coming like a freight train to DRAIN THE SWAMP. PERIOD. With Bannon as his Chief Strategist, this is the clearest signal possible that President Trump plans on being exactly the same guy (at least policy wise) as Candidate Trump.

Priebus knows D.C. and as head of the RNC has obviously worked with and helped all of the GOP office holders. He will be used by Trump to get the GOP Congress unified behind Trump's agenda (set by Trump and Bannon).

Conway's position is yet to be determined but I'm sure she will have a vital role.

Nobody should be getting their panties in a wad over either of these appointments. Folks, it won a campaign that everyone else said couldn't be won. Let the WINNING continue!

I agree....and will trust Trump’s judgement on this. I like Bannon. Have listened to him on Breitbart radio for the last year..until he joined the campaign.

Neither. I just see the 3d board chess player. I can not make the calls he is making, but they click in my head as he does them. We are seeing a grand master play with people who play tic tac toe, make the first move and don’t win.

He is 5 days in to his elect status and by mind is blown by the moves he has made. I appreciate grand master strategy, and I can recognize it when I see it. I am not a grand master strategist though. I don't understand why people are all in a lather about the Alt Right. The alt right is comprised of all sorts of different people, from gamers who don't want to be run over by groupthink journalists, to nationalists who believe our nation is under attack by immigrants who don't believe American should be American, to gay men making monkies out of school administrators. Even Ann Coulter is alt right.

Fear of the alt right is unfounded.
